2007 Chevy Silverado Hardcore Hotrod
Chevrolet And Orange County Choppers Collaborate On An '07 Silverado

Trendsetting and custom cues can be found interspersed between different breeds of vehicles. Hot styles know no boundaries and, therefore, can jump to a car or a truck, street rod or a motorcycle. To reflect such popularized components of design, the GM design team spent some time with the Teutuls at Orange County Choppers to garner ideas in turning an '07 Silverado into the ultimate shop hauler.

To say this truck was new when it started is a gross understatement. This hapless victim was plucked right off of the assembly line and sent straight to the shop where GM's Design, Engineering, and Powertrain divisions melded minds with Roush Engineering. The truck was torn down to a bare cab on a naked frame and placed in the middle of a stark work chamber. Air Ride Technologies' StongArms replaced the front stock components, and the suspension is now handled with ShockWaves set into modified strut towers. Out back, the factory 3.23-equipped rear axle was narrowed 7 inches, per side, for a total of 14 inches....

they cleaned up the front bumper... that looks a heck of a lot better

also really like the tinted side markers... gives it a cleaner, chiseled look.

God that grill and steering wheel are soo tacky..I hate those style grills, they look like ebay specials. I am really tired of the chooper build offs and projects. The show is entertaining, but flames are getting annoying...

Ditch that grill for a dark chrome mesh or billet bars, and tone the interior down a bit, and it would look pretty slick.

I wish GM would just retrofit the Sierra bumper on the Silverado, I just don't like the front of the new Silverado, it just looks ugly and has too much chrome. The GMC looks SO much better IMO, and is the best looking pickup truck out there.

I two times twice that one.

Been waiting for an SS pickup for a bit again. GM has always done a good job at that one. only to water it down quite a bit. and by quite a bit i mean alot of it!!!

Same here, You said it!
The factory 3 piece bumper looks goofy to me.
The rest of it is a little too much for me as well.
Love the wheels, Hate the grill/chopper/ look at me crap.
