Toyota team runs GM-powered Tundra in Baja 500
So, Big, Bad, Toyota can't run it's own engines in the Baja 500? Why not? Camshaft might break?!!

Even though it is a GM powered Toyota, seeing that "T" emblem and knowing that under the hood is a LS2. It is like the pig ate it and won't spit it up.

Re: Toyota team runs GM-powered Tundra in Baja 500
In defense of the I-Force, it probably would have done pretty darn good thrashing around in the desert, but we know the LS2 is lighter, simpler, and much more friendly to the race engine builder when it comes to part selection.

Re: Toyota team runs GM-powered Tundra in Baja 500
You darn well this is a total desperation move. Its also completely consistent with what Toyota engines have done since day one in racing.Lots of oil and metal - on the track.GMC and Chevrolet truck sales personal should send a thank you card.I see a great potential for an advertising campaign - putting this and the Tundra 'tough' ads together ........
