Team Corvette Wins first GT2 Class Victory on only 3rd Race

This weekend I was at the ALMS race at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville Ontario. It was an awesome GT2 race with the C6.R Corvette just edging out the Ferrari at the end. Here are some pictures that I personally took as well as an article from SpeedTV outlining the race.

Nice pics! It was a good race, especially in GT2. Some great passing through Moss Corner.

Thanks for the compliments on the pics guys. You might be surprised as I wasn't using a big fancy SLR like most guys. Just a superzoom Canon SX10IS that I like because it doesn't take up much space when I'm hiking around the track and I can get wide angle and 20x optical zoom out of the same lens.

The entire Corvette program is such a HUGE success for GM. From the base Vette, to the new Grand Sport, the Z06 and ZR1. The Corvette museum....Corvette factory delivery. The way GM supports the Corvette community, and the *LOYALTY* the Corvette community show GM. And of course, the stunning success of the C5R and C6R with Pratt & Miller. Doug Fehan, Ron Fellows, Johnny O'Connel, all the guys on that entire team. Don't take all this for granted, GM. It takes SO long, and SO much work to build up ALL of this. Don't take this for granted Corvette and Racing fans. This takes a LOT of money on GMs part to support this.

Porsche and BMW have the reputations they do because they supported their product and road racing programs the way they have thru the decades. GM has paid its dues with Corvette too. Well done GM.

This is so true, Cadillac went to le mans and left in a huff with its tail between the legs. Next time, they should stick to it.
