Re: Pics of new GT2 C6R!

Excuse my ignorance, but are these engines supercharged, TC'ed, or just naturally aspirated? Thanks.

Normally aspirated, 6.0L LS-based V8.

Naturally aspirated. Forced induction engines are not very competitive under the LM rules.

Re: Pics of new GT2 C6R!

Thanks. So when it says that this new next-gen LS 5.5L is production based, does that mean we could see it in a GM product soon? I would guess for sure in a vette, but possibly anything else? I'm sorry, I don't follow racing but I am very interested in what other GM products this motor could show up in.

Corvette made the podium in it's first outing! Second and fourth place.

Re: Pics of new GT2 C6R!

Awsome so are they leaving GT1 all together or just entering GT2? IF they are leaving GT1 anyone know why? They have dominated GT1 for years now, or is that why they want to try to move down and have the success they did in GT1. Also they are building this new 5.5l engine in the GM performance division? Thought they closed their doors?

Change in regulations as well as basically competing against themselves in many races which means the wins weren't truely anything special.
