GMI Member LA Chevy Grabs Shots of Millen & Solstice at Long Beach Formula Drift

GMI Member LA Chevy went to a Formula Drift Competition at Long Beach a few weeks back and has several photos to share. Not really "news" but I thought some of you would enjoy the up & close shots with Millen & his new Solstice. See below! (Also a Sky and Cobalt in the mix)

In addition I found several shots on a web search of Rhys Millen from this past weekend at Road Atlanta - check out that tire smoke! - http://www.putfile.com/jrsno1fan/images/107239 - Ming

seriously, these events are so much fun. and Rhys's Solstice is fast as hell, and unfortunately, that is why he lost. also, he seems like a pretty cool guy.

I'll get it out of the way for you old-timers:

Boomhauer: "Hey man, I'll tell you what man, you dang ol' Drifting is crazy, man."

Hank: "I just don't understand these kids today. Why would you take a perfectly good way to end a NASCAR race - good smokey burnout donuts - and make that into a whole event? I tell you, It just ain't right."

Dale Gribble: "It's a conspiracy to sell more tires, and Bridgestone is behind it. The chemicals in that smell of burnt rubber are toxic and its all intended to corrupt and poison our minds-of-mush youth."

one other interesting thing about the race, see where that wall ends, in the 5th and 6th pic? there is a guy standing there, and the closest cone next to him gets knocked off a few times, he has soe guts to stand there
