GM Tuner Source Gets Revamped

Newly Improved GMTUNERSOURCE.com Now Live
Exciting Revamped Site for GM Racing Sport-Compact/Drifting News and Information

DETROIT - The newly improved version of www.gmtunersource.com is now live and ready to use. This enhanced site, which boasts an exciting revamped look, will serve as the source for the most current news, photos, race results and information about GM Racing's sport-compact and drifting efforts.

"Visitors will still be able to find driver bios, engine specs and build-books, and GM accessory parts info, but the website will have the added bonus of frequently updated blog content," explained Carmen Smith, GM Racing program manager, sport-compact drag racing/drifting. "This will allow us to always post the most recent information, provide answers to technical questions, and give updates on interesting events. There will be a lot more for customers who visit our site."

Regular visitors will notice a host of new features including an area that allows users to interact and share comments and information about their tuning experience.

In addition to the new features, many characteristics from the old site will remain including driver profiles and photos, events schedules, accessories pages, build books, and a host of other items in a format that is easier to navigate.

"I'll be on there quite a bit, with race event updates and new technical information," explained Smith. "We'll have our race drivers and engineers blog from time to time. We'll also see updates from the GM Tuner Tour, which travels to cool sport-compact events (like Hot Import Nights and NOPI Nationals), and we'll get updates from Performance Parts and the vehicle marketing teams whenever they want to tell you about a new accessory, feature, event, or vehicle.

Re: GM Tuner Source Gets Revamped

its cool, better than that worthless excuse for a website from before. And all the links work this time too and don't say "we're underconstruction" Not bad...lets see if they keep updating it. They should have WAYYYY more downloads too, if those are the best pics they have for us to dwnld then no wonder the Super's aren't so super and the STS is a lame excuse for an MCE...no wonder the CSV's were built...erg.

Re: GM Tuner Source Gets Revamped

Its too bad though that they don't have a site like that for the other cars and trucks that people mod (ie, pretty much all of them). GTO, Corvette, even the trucks could have a site with GM buildups on the LSx series of engines, parts and accessories.

The LSx series is getting complicated with all the changes over the years, and GM is the authority on what interchanges/works and what does not on those (ex: with the 07's now having a seperate ECM/TCM can the 6 speed auto be added without other changes?). It would be a great way to sell parts and promote the crazy power these engines are capable of making.

looking at the Cobalt SS Time Attack, i saw that car on Speed TV and it kicked ass. I started to wonder if GM would build a special Attack version for the streets, make a few thousand of them. 3000???

Not likely considering that I have heard from reliable sources that Cobalt SS/SC production is around 5,000 to 6,000 units.
