The podium at Adria was a sea of Corvette yellow as the fans roared their approval for this outstanding Corvette victory.
Imagine that. A sea of Corvette fans roaring their approval. 70 km. south of Venice, Italy. Yet in America, the Corvette is an evil-greenhouse-gas-producing-midlife-crisis-mobile.

Re: Corvette C6R Nuke Italians at Venice -takes 1, 2 & 4

BTW....these are not the factory entered Corvette Motorsports cars of Pratt&Miller. They are privately entered cars by various teams.....although many of of them are ex-P&M cars. With the currency situation as is, many European teams are finding the C6R to be the car of choice in the FIA GT Series. It's cheaper to race a Vette [and be competitive] than an Aston DBR9 or a Maserati MC-12.

All the info with results and live feeds from Europe is at www.corvettemotorsport.com

Why mince words? Just say, "I hate NASCAR" and be done with it.

No one says you have to like it anyway.

The next race in the FIA GT Series is Sunday at Oschersleben in Germany. I believe the GT3 Corvette teams will be there too.......Callaway team cars and others.

perhaps they will eventually take hold. How many has GM sold this year? If they had RHD, they would sell more in UK...
Plus rome was not built in 1 day
About two years time the might have RHD in England. Europe is mainly LHD like the US.

I actually have a massive amount of respect for the drivers, pit crews, and mechanics for those NASCAR guys. I however am irked highly by the fact a 4 door V6 AT FWD car becomes a RWD carbureted manual V8. A Taurus racing in NASCAR does nothing to improve the street car.

Because to say "I hate NASCAR" is lame. It's like saying "I hate foreign cars", or "I hate GM".....without reasons as to why, it can be easily dismissed. I guess I felt my minced words would better sum up what exactly I hate about NASCAR. (although there's more, see above)

But more back on topic (Corvettes in Eu).....does anyone have sales figure for Corvettes sold in Europe?

Re: Corvette C6R Nuke Italians at Venice -takes 1, 2 & 4

Judging by the number of export 'Vettes I saw being built at BGA, I'd say they're selling pretty well for such a car.

Especially now with the COT. NOW the cars are identical. ****, I'm fortunate I grew up in the day of #43. Back in the 70's Petty drove a stock Charger. It shared allot with what your dad could buy at the local Mopar dealership.

Gotta love this announcer too. ****, back when men had hair on thier chest. When men were men, and women knew their place.

Yea, but I would love some seat time in the DBR9 or Maserati.

Yep, for anyone who followed the '24hrs of Le Mans' this year on Radio Le Mans or Speed Channel will recognize the sound of the C6.R passing by the paddock. Unmistakable, and fills up the night.

You forgot the SPEED world challenge series http://www.world-challenge.com/
