Spied: Opel Insignia (Saturn Aura) Hatchback

Quote:
Look closely — this is not the Opel Insignia sedan (a.k.a. Saturn Aura) that was recently unveiled. Rather, it's an all-new version — a five-door hatchback. Besides the fact that we’ve seen this test vehicle with the hatch wide open, you’ll also notice the rear window is longer — and the ‘trunk’ is shorter. Also, take note of the typical hatchback rear-window wiper – something we haven’t seen on the sedan.
Will it come here as a Saturn? This isn't a typical "hatch"... it could sell here! Hell, Bentleys and Astons have the same type of trunk!

Bring that over and the wagon and finally Saturn will have something unique! (that is until GM gives a variation to 3 other brands.....sighhhhhh)

Auto design really has regressed! This time back to the 40's! Sedanettes are BACK baby!

Exlamation Point! ! :P

Re: Spied: Opel Insignia (Saturn Aura) Hatchback

Interesting. I wonder if it would catch on over here. It might be worth rebadging a few and shipping them over rather than tooling the plant over here to build them. I don't see them being a hit here.

I like it, never cared for 5 door vehicles but this one looks good. Almost looks like a sedan, IMO.

A five door coupe/hatch. To me it looks like the CLS. Not my cup of tea.

There's very little difference visually between the sedan and liftback versions of the current Vectra...

I like this one.
