Re: Spied: Insignia Fastback

I don't see why Saturn can't have a version.

At least a station wagon.

My previous ride was a 2001 Elantra GT hatchback. I miss the versatility every now and then.

Welcome to GMI. How is your Intrigue running? They are great cars.

Re: Spied: Insignia Fastback

Saturn should get one of these. I might buy the future chevy on EP II but, this thing looks great

Re: Spied: Insignia Fastback

It does have a Mercedes/ BMW look to it. I like the other one better. Maybe this is the chassis/cage for the "next Maxx"

Re: Spied: Insignia Fastback

Now that Saturn is going to be Opel, they should just advertise it that way, but with a bit of a twist: Engineered in Germany, Priced in America.

Way simpler than the think different and other ads. Focus on what people want: perceived quality and inexpensive pricing.

And I really like the new Insignia.

Re: Spied: Insignia Fastback

About the mirrors.....I don't mean to harp on it, as it's the only thing I see that sucks. I am the type of person that will take function over form. I'd rather have a mirror that offers more view to the sides/behind, than have one that is so stylized.

Here's what I'd rather have (mirror surface area):

Re: Spied: Insignia Fastback

I generally love the car, not fond of the rear end, though.

Re: Spied: Insignia Fastback

In general it's a good-looking car; better looking than the conventional notchback sedan. However, I'm still not sold on the proportions of the car. The body looks overinflated/oversized relative to the footprint set by the wheels (the otherwise-attractive 2009 Mazda6 has the same issue). It could be cured with shorter overhangs, but obviously at this point we're stuck with the overhangs as-is for the next six years.

Re: Spied: Insignia Fastback

The care looks Ok. I prefer the sedan over the hatchback. I'd like to see a coupe version instead though.

don't you get snow up there? I loved having a rear wiper on my old Subaru SVX for that reason

It's a good looking car, if it has two doors two many for my taste. Where's that Altima coupe spanker they teased us with?

Ya, but it got on my Saturn Coupe's steeply raked rear window and it doesn't have/need a wiper on it. I'm just trying to figure out what designates needing a wiper? Is it only if it has a hatch on it and if that's the criteron, why is that?

Agreed. This would definitely get me behind the wheel of a GM car again.
