Re: Speculative Renderings: 2010 Saab 9-5

It looks promising... almost makes up for the fact that it's 5 years late.

Maybe they have something take ridiculously long to come to market then wow us with greatness. On second thought probably not. E100 compatible and turbos through out, bring us some diesels too that run on biodiesel 90 cents a gallon.
And no black tie radios too.

Re: Speculative Renderings: 2010 Saab 9-5

Well, Welburn must be getting the designers to bust their behinds on the next Saabs, because this looks awesome. (and I don't think I've ever said that about any other Saab except the Aero-X concept.) If this is what future Saabs will look like, I think I might have to eye the brand a little more in the future...(Oh! This isn't that boring one at the end of the list!)

Saab is not an irrelevant brand that needs to be dumped, but I'll tell yah, this kinda thing...

Re: Speculative Renderings: 2010 Saab 9-5

This isn't the first rendering I've seen of the next 9-5 so provided the production version apes these pics I think Saab will have a winner on their hands. So far we've seen a lot of proposals for what Saab could be, Now would be the time for GM to pull their finger out and bring them to market. They need to strike while the iron is hot and stop making the mistake of showing a great concept which stagnates before it goes on sale.

Ooh, I like that a LOT. I'd be very happy if the 9-5 if it looked like that. Who knows? It could be Saab's XF.

No kidding. And they wonder why the 9-5 doesn't sell. Maybe because it's going on 12 YEARS OLD.

That's like buying a 1996 Ford Taurus! The bubbly one.

Re: Speculative Renderings: 2010 Saab 9-5

I swooned over the Aero-X concept car at this year's MacDill Air Show....looks EVEN better in real life. So I hope it heavily influences future Saabs. The rear end treatment is both unique and cool.
