Expect it in 2009. I think this and the Provoq were meant from the beginning to be produced, they already have plans to do TH-EP written into the UAW contract.

I really had very high hopes for the 9-4x........
But I think its one of GM's blandest vehicles in recent history....
I'm not sold on it's design yet.... The interior is very nice though...

Is it just me or are all of Saabs vehicles bland?? The only thing released from them that was actually eye catching was the Aero-X and we all know that will be a cold day in hell before that is actually produced

Re: Saab 9-4X could be ready in 2009

wouldn't be bad with a few improvements.1st thing that says it's not ready is the badges.Aero X had the griffin centered on the back here he have the SAAB,griffin looks better. Also SAAB on the steering wheel would be ok if they put the plane on.

Overall, the profile isn't too bad, just needs to be rounder.Saab was also on par with Alfa, and Audi lets keep the styling up to that standard .Yeah! GM?

I was shown 9-4 sketches 2 years ago. It WILL be made! I hope we have more e-85 gas stations by then! All SAABs on the road can run on ethenol. Lord knows we are trying to push SAAB to do it in the USA.

Thumbs up Re: Saab 9-4X could be ready in 2009

Looking forward to the production model(s)!

Up in the ski country here, SO many SUV's have a huge Thule box on top of their roof for skis/snowboards. Ruins the aerodynamics of the vehicle IMHO. If that under seat slider feature makes it into production, Saab could have a real advantage on it's hands.
