Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

Oh no no no how dear you point out to the obvious similarities to the foo-wagen Camry! ONLY the Asian automakers, especially the Chinese, can make designs that look like anything else! This looks NOTHING like a Camry because it's a GM car, and GM cars look nothing like Toyotas, because Toyotas are ugly by the sole and only fact that they are Toyotas. Don't you understand that?

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

^^^Ouch! The grille is definitel there but I think the overall shape is more progressive than the Camry.

Only a turbo 2.0, 2.4 Eco, and two V6 options. Of course the Hybrid!

I wish that the coupe would be a Poncho! I would love to have this coupe as my next ride. The G7 GT direct injected Twin Turbo 3.9L. Matter of fact, shouldn't that engine be in the G8 GT!?

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

Due to popular demand (and the rabble-rousing of Bravada) the LWB Coupe is back with longer doors....

The other side pics above are the SWB version. I'd love to see this Coupe with the 260hp 260lb/ft Turbo I4 mated to the AWD option.

If they can keep this car under 3500 lbs then that should be more than enough to make this a standout performer while still being frugal at the pumps. A sort of BMW 6er meets WRX....

I heard the rumour that there won't be an U 20 NHT (Turbo 220hp).

The engine line up for Saturn Aura is:

U 24 YH - 177hp
U 24 YH (Hybrid) - 177hp
U 30 XH - 260hp
U 36 XH - 292hp
U 20 DTH - 160hp

Yarr that is what is missing from midsizers a good midrange engine. Also, its main intended competition VW Passat has a 200hp 2.0t standard this is what the Aura should have to differentiate it from the Malibu. I realize that they will be on separate wheelbases but if the saturn is intended to be the premium european brand then it should act like it.

How about you make the grill Saturn-like so I can start drooling.

If nothing else, it looks like a BMW-fighter. Very pleasing aesthetically.

The new Buick Insignia (basis for next Lacrosse) appears it may (?) have repeaters in the side mirror. So there may be hope....please GM have repeaters in the mirrors for both the next gen Aura and Lacrosse.
