Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

Looks good, glad it has AWD. Hopefully they will have a Red Line version with 300 HP. A wagon version would be a nice also.

Ditto for the Wagon ("Caravan") version. 2.9L Diesel w/ 6 speed manual AWD.

Diesel sounds like a good engine option but it has to get exceptional fuel economy since where I am Diesel cost .80 cents to $1 per gallon more than 87 octane gasoline.

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

Hmm, well this looks better than the previous photos. Although I would get rid of that rear chevron stretching across the rear from just above each taillilght. Looks too "Sebring" to me.

Overall pretty attractive.

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

I really like the whole shape of the car, very hunkered down and sleek. And as far as my eyes can tell, that shape in it's entirety is very original.

I really like this car. Are the interior pics available yet? If the interior looks half as good as the exterior, I will definitely consider the Aura as my next car. Now I'm crossing my fingers for turbo 2.0 as an option.

Thanks. I really like the interior, and I am very intrigued by a few of the engine choices (I hope they come here). The new Aura will definitely be on my short list when I replace the TSX in a year or two. Is there any chance we will be getting the turbo 1.6 or any of the smaller diesels?

As much as people banged on Bangle about his flame surfacing designs for BMW, they really were trendsetters. This car has got BMW 5 series all over it.

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

Wow!! Front and all-wheel drive options. Plus all these engine options AND 'enviromental' cards that they'll play strategically. Someone pinch me, I'm have a wet dream!!

Now all they have to do is announce when the Saturn will be coming!

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

If thats the next Aura, I'm gonna trade mine in! That has some definite German cues on it, almost Audi-like. I can't wait to see the interior! Very nice GM!

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

front looks very BMWesque. (like a 3 series coupe).
The rest of the car looks nice.

I really dont like that side crease, its like they wanted to put a side vent there but it didnt fit so instead they just made the crease look like a side vent. it looks out of place.

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

I like this. If Opel keeps making things like this, Saturn should pair up with Chevy very nicely.
