Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

I think it's very attractive although it kind of puts me in the mind of an Acura.

I'd think it looks more like a BMW with rounded off edges (esp. the headlights - how they bleed over into the hood). Acuras seem to have more creases than this.

Thanks for the pics - this is my new wallpaper. I hope they hurry up and bring it here as a Saturn, but I'm not sure what that leaves for Buick...

I've got to disagree with you. It's far superior looking in the rear than a Accord.
Any way you look at it, it's a very nicely sculptured styled vehicle. Can't wait
to see it here in Europe.

I think it is a great looing car. Can't wait to see what changes will take place for the Aura. Do you think they will leave it pretty much alone this time?

When we discussed Passat CC everybody was more generous in praises.

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

I suppose it's better than nothing - however a) it's a VECTRA so the name changes nothing b) the details on this car are no exception to the Vauxhall rule (ie huge chrome strips on the trunklid) and c) it does seem to be trying just a bit too hard...

It's hard to imagine it not doing well though.

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

i like the looks of it. the 'lines' on the body appear BMW inspired, IMO. I just emailed this to my rents to compare with 08 malibu, we will see what they like better

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

One of the nicest styled GM cars I have ever seen! Looks very slick!

Bravo GM! I'm really looking forward to the next Aura...

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

Beautiful car, I think it will do very well.......if the MPG is there.
Rear headroom may be a problem as well.

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

The overall shape is pleasing. Not thrilled by the Nike swish embedded into the door and the plain slab sided look. Would rather have the current cars nice chrome accent molding married to this cars overall look. That would be very attractive.

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

I like this a lot. When I first saw it, I thought BMW sides, Audi front, and VW rear, all adds up to a great looking car. I wish I waited on buying my 08 Aura now.

Re: Opel Insignia Revealed Officially!

Like the car.

I don't think there was anything at all wrong with the name Vectra, though. That should have remained the same. Changing names makes it more challenging to build equity in the product.
