A family of four is perfectly fine in a roomy sedan like an Impala, Malibu, Camry, or Accord.
About half of those Camry sales probably go to people with 1 child or single couples.

Trust me, there is a reason why so many vans and trucks still sell despite gas prices.

Looks good so far -- so glad they are retaining the concepts looks overall.

Looks a little too new Altima for me...and I have an Aura. I still love to just look at the front end of my Aura - such a clean, fresh design. I bet this Vectra...er, Insignia will look good in showroom trim.

Looks aggressive...I likey.

The headroom looks ok. How many people routinely carry adults in the backseat anyway...even in Europe?

Why? Take a look around your local GM dealer-we've never had product excellence on so many levels at GM.

Because he's managed to change the culture and transform GM while being handcuffed by unions, legacy costs, a lack of capital, Delphi, a tarnished corporate image, and now, introducing the global credit and consumer confidence crisis.

And finally, because I can't count how many cars GM now produces that I find desirable, when before he came in, I couldn't count one.

Kids don't need headroom. They're usually smaller versions of adults.

To those of you complaining about lack of rear headroom:

That's what americanization is for.

Re: Opel Insignia Caught Almost Undisguised!

They'll have a wagon version in Europe for people who need rear headroom and luggage space. Why Americans won't buy one is beyond me. Anti-nostalgia for the 60's and 70's?

Re: Opel Insignia Caught Almost Undisguised!

I prefer Vectra over Insignia. Oh well, wait twenty years and G.M. will have a great idea. Change the name from Insignia to Vectra.

Re: Opel Insignia Caught Almost Undisguised!

It looks neither like Camry nor like Tiburon, It looks like a Pontiac G6 (not only the side mirrors).Which is not a bad thing. Fortunately it won't scream cost-cutting inside since the new Opels have really well made interiors.

I like it so far. Looks like the car has a good stance from the pic.

Not bad. I think the next gen Aura's going to look great. And hopefully sell great too.
