Re: Opel models till 2011

Love the Astra's looks (#13 and 14), how close are these pictures to the real thing?

Re: Opel models till 2011

Pure speculation. I don't expect the Astra to look even close to that - far too low and all.

Putting sliding doors on the Zafira would be a good idea - but if Opel wants to continue with innovation, they'd better put FOUR sliding doors on it. Last seen on the French Hobbycar Passport monospace

Re: Opel models till 2011

I really like the Opel Calibra. I wish Opel would stay with the larger headlights like the Vectra and Astra. The Insignia's headlights are too thin and remind me too much of the Malibu's.

Re: Opel models till 2011

I really like the Calibra! How much is it differentiated size wise from the Astra, and will we receive it here in the states? I'd buy it (and yes, I would ACTUALLY buy it).

Re: New Opel models till 2011 list

I love the calibra style wise. Here's hoping that by saying a new calibra they actually do something with styling that is diverse from its parent platform, rather than a 2 door insignia.

Re: New Opel models till 2011 list

I hope something very much like the Flextreme gets built, though of course without that impractical split rear windscreen but with the front styling of the concept. Perhaps it and the Volt could come out close to each other so their respective launches would build momentum for E-Flex.

Is this for sure? The first two cars look like the Beat and the Trax concept cars.

Re: New Opel models till 2011 list

Can't wait to get more details on the next Zafira. Hopefully it stays at 2+3+2 configuration and comes to the US. The Mazda5 would work well for me but I want to squeeze all 3 kids in the 2nd row and save the 3rd row seats for luggage or the occasional extra kid.

I only see one photo. Nevermind. Tried the link at the bottom of the text.
Curious that "twintop" is Twintop in German.

Re: New Opel models till 2011 list

TwinTop is Opel's brand name, just like Ecotec - they don't translate that (thank God!)

The Insignia is being released NOW.

As concerns the small SUV-like thingy, it will be a jacked-up Corsa, not much to do with the Trax.

Great find.

Since the Combo is not mentioned (or just missing) wonder if the Combo Tour will be replaced by the Small SUV (under Antara), I thought the Combo Tour or New Meriva was that SUV, guess not.

Any rumors on the new Combo/Combo Tour?

Will Will there be one?

Re: New Opel models till 2011 list

Their claimed Opel City is to much of a Beat rebadge to be any good. I hope it is not like this, because then saturn and chvey would have rebadges of the Beat.

Re: New Opel models till 2011 list

So the Calibra is EPII based so in the U.S. that would be like a Saturn Aura 2 door. That's awesome I hope it has sporty styling like the picture.
