Re: New Meriva

I like this a lot. I wonder if we will get a version? Like we are getting the Orlando, a version of the Zafira.

Re: New Meriva

This should be the new Aveo, not that I know what the new one will look like, but this thing is light years ahead of the current Aveo in design.

Re: New Meriva

Judging by the placement of the rear door handle, it could be a suicide door or slider. If it's a suicide door, then it's pretty unique by today's standards (save for some Saturns and X-cab P/U's). Does anybody know?

It's a suicide door I believe.

mmm, maybe. It has that reverse sweepspear like the China market Buick business van.
Perhaps a sign that it may become an Asian market Buick?

Opel is amazing and for the last few year they can do no wrong when it comes to design.

That is what I was thinking, I wondering if selling it at a premium and upscale under Buick would work? It would have been a great fit for Saturn, but....?

Re: New Meriva

Is it just me, or does this appear to be very similar to the upcoming Chevy Spark? I know this car is larger than the Spark will be (probably closer to the Orlando) but just the way the body lines sit is similar.

Either way, I kinda like it.

If I had to make a wild guess, I think that's going to be the slot the GMC xB fighter will fill. Even though I detest the idea of a GMC xB (it has the potential to dethrone the Aztek depending what they do to it), and I think this car as a Buick would be a better idea....

Re: New Meriva

It looks a little odd to me, but I can't say that I hate it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it did fairly well--probably not in NA though (and definitely not as a Buick! ).

I can't recall any next generation Aveo news right now, other than it's supposed to look good and retain the name... Any clue what the next Aveo might look like???

Don't make excuses for G.M.
I have never ever owned anything other than a so-called American made car..........
To see GM fail the Country like it has over the past few years..........well they deserve what they get............sad to say a lot of innocent workers have suffered.

Again..........the Meriva is just a warmed over AVEO.............a real engineering marvel that doesn't get many more MPG than my Impala!

You are the troll my friend...........people like you have bankrupted GM!
BTW, I was in a GM showroom today.......ten sales people, eight new Camaros on the floor, and I had the showroom all to my self! Maybe the trolls drove customers away!

Eight Camaros on the floor!!

Where is this dealer? People are waiting weeks to get a Camaro.

Location please. These Camaros will be gone in the next few days!!!!

I will never be caught in one, but if someone wants one, so be it.
There was an article that folks that bought small cars during the gas prices hike last year are unhappy and trading them in.
