Re: GM plans to cut 10,000 Opel jobs

They can just terminate the 10,000 that went on strike according to the news this morning. They obviously do not want their jobs, are not interested in the long term health of their coworkers employment or their company and are typical of the selfish, ungrateful cretins that are most union workers.

Not so fast.
1) With Magna the employees had ownership stake. With GM nothing!
2) Your asking for German taxpayers money, so shouldn't the taxpayers own some of the company?

The Germans want the jobs to stay, that is the return on their investment.

I also dont understand the 'give the Union part of the company' idea. What $$$ investment did they make in Opel that warrents ownership???? Please dont tell me its the 'labor' investment because all those workers got paid for their time/effort already.
