6.3sec 0-100? that's nonsense. it should do 0-60 below 5.5

damn germans don't know how to drive. also, more hp from this turbo engine should be as easy as snapping your fingers at it

They blasted know how to drive better than any person in the UK and America!

Just take a look at their discipline - oh look, a middle lane only occupied when overtaking a lorry! Wow!

Well, I do think it looks a lot better than the BMW, and as far as performance goes it does quite well for the price. Just the fact that they compare it to a BMW says a lot to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong somebody, but I seem to remember a similar comparo with the Sky and Z4 in Motor Trend?

But once again, like 01cavalier said, even though it doesn't win, it was compared to a BMW, which is saying a whole heck of a lot about the car.

Re: German car magazine, AutoBild compares the BMW Z4 3.0i vs Opel GT 2.0 Turbo.

I expect alot of car for 10,000 euros. The Z4 had better be 100% perfect in every way. I'd go for the Opel and spend the other 10 grand on tires and speeding tickets.

But what kind of test was this anyways? I see no summary of cupholder count / diameter / depth. What a sham! Is that any way to test a RWD roadster?

They could if they wanted too. Still, we're looking at a working man's roadster against a BMW. Very impressive for what you pay.

Re: German car magazine AutoBild compares the BMW Z4 3.0i & Opel GT 2.0 Turbo

I agree that the Z4 is a better overall car than the SKY, er Opel GT, even rating my 2004 Z4 vs a 2007 SKY (and I sell Saturns, so I know both very well) but it is definitely nice to be put in the same league. The Opel/Saturn is more striking to look at (a subjective observation at best), but that is the only area that it is even close.
GM needs to work hard on refinement on the next generation of Kappa cars. Ergonomics are horrible, seating position is not adjustable enough and the grindy rowdy nature of the ECOTEC powertrain will not win any NVH awards over any BMW inline-6.

If both 1 were free, and I had to chose either the Bimmer or the Sky, id wouldn't hesitate to take the Sky. Much better looks, better potential, better dealers....i cant think of anything bad. Well, less trunk space, but ****************, thats what the TBSS is for. Lotsa space in that.

Let's hope GM works at continually addressing the shortcomings of the Kappa trio. I don't think they can do much about the trunk, though.
