I was thinking the same thing myself...I figured that you'd see at least one of them step up to the plate.

The CTS-V's going to come down to who's the better driver...although I would put my money on Lutz, and definitely on Heinrichy.

On the CTS-V face to face it will almost be tough to beat Lutz and Heinrichy, only because they know the track so well.

Re: V-Series Challengers Announced

Why would GM let the assclowns from TTAC race the CTS when half the articles they write everyday rip on GM?

Because GM wiping the floor with TTAC's driver should shut them up.

Hopefully this will win over TTAC and LLC and convert them to the GM camp.

Re: V-Series Challengers Announced

I don't really care about many of the wins, though I pray that Jack Baruth from the TheTruthAboutCars.com loses. I'm not a fan of the site or its point-of-views, so I know I'd delight in Jack having his ass handed to him.

And I hope that TTAC at least has the balls to write about the loss in some substantive fashion and not simply chaulk the loss up to anything other than the "awesomeness" of the CTS-V and its drivers. Anything less would be typical TTAC lame.

Sounds exciting! Can't wait to see Bob lay the smack down on the competitors in the new Cadillac CTS-V. Should be a fun event.

Do you see any of the challengers on here saying they are going to murder the CTSV. I think anybody that is signing up for this contest knows what the CTSV is about and chances are far against them beating it, but they are doing it for the fun and opportunity to compete in such a unique contest.

How do you figure? The RS4 is slower, the drivetrain is not tuned well enough for the max amount of grip compared to the CTS-V. Not to mention he doesn't know the track nearly as well as those he is racing against. M5 stands a chance if it is the same driver, but otherwise those other guys won't have much on Lutz.

I never said I was referring to the RS4. As for knowing the track what says any of these guys arnt home studing youtube videos learning the corners. Any good driver can learn the track from videos and then pick up things like braking and turn in point, the apex and power down.

Also the guy driving the M5 doesnt stand a chance, hes been to a bmw driver experience, he will not be putting that car anywhere near the braking or power down limit.

As we’ve said before, GM has set the terms of a battle it is nearly incapable of losing… but what of the war? Who cares what your top-of-the-line sedan is (even if it’s amazing, which TTAC readily admits it is) when your point of entry is the Aveo? Oh, and how much profit does the CTS-V make? Still, we can’t say no to a few hot laps on someone else’s dime. Do you know what a membership to Monticello costs?
They're just going to put their typical dose of spin on it, as usual...

Actually that LS7 or for that matter any engine displacement you see under the user name only signifies the number of posts i.e. the larger the number of posts the more powerful the engine.
