It's that time again - incentive time! And Cadillac has a number of offers going at the moment to kick July sales in the rear so SUVs and crossovers don't receive all the glory - for example:
ATS Coupe
Current GM lessees can now receive $750 towards the lease or purchase of Cadillac's stylish coupe.
You can lease a "Luxury Collection" trim level for $339/month for 36 months/30,000 miles.
$2000 cash allowance.
0% APR financing for 60 months.
You'll also find several incentives for the ATS Sedan, CTS Sedan, and XTS Sedan. However, if your needs are more utilitarian or brash, the SRX, Escalade, and Escalade ESV are not being ignored.
EXACTLY! I recently received an offer from GM/Cadillac to come in and test drive the Cadillac of my choice, and receive a $100 Visa card from Cadillac. I called a friend of mine who works for GM/Cadillac at the Renn Center to ask if these offers were going out to MB, BMW, Lexus, Audi, Hyundai, Jaguar ( well you get the picture) owners other than current Cadillac owners.
I am the last person who should receive one of these offers since I currently own 5 GM vehicles, 2 of them Cadillac's, and just placed an order for a '16 CTS-V. I understand the logic of wanting to hold onto current owners, but Conquest sales should be more of a priority.
He is looking into it. I'll catch up with him and some other old friends at the Renn and Tech Centers next week when I'm in Michigan on business....
Boy what a pack of negative Nancys.....I don't have the negative regard for Cadillac like a lot of you. I just see them going though a transition that takes time like it does for any brand. Today's line up is finally one of the best they have had in decades. They have to do 10 years with that line up before they can really take off.
And only because they are Cadillac... People are such label whores these days. Buy what you want! I have been a Saab fan not because they're so well praised by the automotive press (oh wait, they aren't haha) but because that's what I want. How many times have other "auto enthusiasts" told you their brand is superior to yours? It's all subjective. We live in some interesting automotive times so enjoy the ride and keep in mind that it's always getting better and better!
:drive:
Thank you for saying that! Everybody is kicking Cadillac right now, but Cadillac indeed has its best lineup in decades. I'm proud to own two of Cadillac's best products - 2014 Cadillac CTS V-Sport Premium and a 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV Premium. They are both outstanding, world-class products. These incentives will help and Cadillac knows there's more work to do in getting the attention to their products that it so dearly deserves. Hang in there Caddy; Loyal buyers are still with you.
I am the proud owner of the exact same two vehicles! (well my Escalade isn't an ESV, but a 4WD Premium). The products truly are world class. Everybody just needs to relax, it took 10-15 years for Audi to ascend to a tier one luxury brand again.
I've never actually seen an ATS coupe, but, well, it looks really good here! I've been parroting the general sentiment here for months now (I haven't had an original thought in my life, FYI), and assumed that the ATS was styled like a 2-door Celebrity by the sounds of the masses here. But it's a very attractive coupe. Couple that with the great reviews with respect to driving and handling and I'm not sure why everyone hates this so much. I understand why sales aren't strong... because Cadillac isn't on the radar for the general public, but why GM fans hate this car so much is baffling!
All that said, my mood will swing and I'll be complaining about Cadillac again shortly (I mean they DID build the Cimarron after all!!!), but I'm going to take a moment and admit that this is a stylish and desirable automobile.
It is comments like this that proves a decades old screw-up can still have some influence in 2015 decision making. It's like a little nanny sitting in the deep recesses of the brain that wants to conjur up a rationale not to deal with today's reality. That mistake did worlds of hurt for Caddy's image and the Catera didn't help either.
That is why Caddy's best hope is to appeal to the younger generations who do not have that image etched in memory. It's like holding a kid accountable for the sins of their grandfather. Makes no sense of course but, after all, SOMEONE has to pay. Right?
Well today I FINALLY got to see the new CTS, a silver one at the Publix at Himes and Gandy in south Tampa. My reaction was the same as to the pics....a quite dramatic front end that I liked quite a bit. But the back end was so boring, an after thought...no trace of fins at all. But it was nice to walk around it a few times.
I am so tired of the negativity displayed against Cadilac. They are now producing the best cars in their existence, generally receiving very favorable press, and all models looking great. Every time I see a new Cadillac I take a second look. I can't say that about its competition.
