Re: Right-hand drive Cadillac CTS prices revealed
Why the heck are they soo expensive? I think they need to add an upgraded Northstar for those prices

No, I am pointing out that the "World Largest Car Maker" has trouble making cars in it's home country that it can sell abroad, while companies that are flies compared to GM's elephant, like for example, Ferarri, have no trouble launching cars that are both LHD and RHD. GM does get it, in Europe at least, where we will probably see GM launch RHD and LHD versions of the Insignia at or close to the same time. Here's what I would love to happen with GM's next big NA launch, lets say for example the STS/DTS replacement, lets call it the ULS, they show the ULS at it's grand debut, the NAIS in Detroit for example, they show THE car, not a lightly disguised "concept" or 95% of what it will look like, and then, they put the car into production and LHD, RHD, gas, diesel, Vseries, etc, are all available from job one, just like everyone else does. Re: Right-hand drive Cadillac CTS prices revealed
They are so expensive because the USD is worth about half a English pound.
That is why BMW is expanding their plant in Spartanburg,SC. With the dollar at $1.56 per Euro you can see why. Just think about the cabbage BMW is making off of every X5, X6 and Z4 they send over to Europe and England. Kind of boggles the mind. |
