Re: Right-hand drive Cadillac CTS prices revealed

Why the heck are they soo expensive? I think they need to add an upgraded Northstar for those prices

take time and learn just how many varriants of GMT's there are, just for trucks.. Its more complex than going to the moon.
The diff options alone are numerous accross all models

well at least they designed a right hand drive car this time. It seems GM is mentally retarded in thinking about "global" architecture and lhd and rhd models.
I think GMNA Management lives in another world. Not having any of their other offerings and no diesel in Europe, is downright stupid.

No, I am pointing out that the "World Largest Car Maker" has trouble making cars in it's home country that it can sell abroad, while companies that are flies compared to GM's elephant, like for example, Ferarri, have no trouble launching cars that are both LHD and RHD. GM does get it, in Europe at least, where we will probably see GM launch RHD and LHD versions of the Insignia at or close to the same time.

Here's what I would love to happen with GM's next big NA launch, lets say for example the STS/DTS replacement, lets call it the ULS, they show the ULS at it's grand debut, the NAIS in Detroit for example, they show THE car, not a lightly disguised "concept" or 95% of what it will look like, and then, they put the car into production and LHD, RHD, gas, diesel, Vseries, etc, are all available from job one, just like everyone else does.

Re: Right-hand drive Cadillac CTS prices revealed

They are so expensive because the USD is worth about half a English pound.

That is why BMW is expanding their plant in Spartanburg,SC.
With the dollar at $1.56 per Euro you can see why.

Just think about the cabbage BMW is making off of every X5, X6 and Z4 they send over to Europe and England.
Kind of boggles the mind.

4-Lack of a diesel from the get go.

Hopefully the coupe and wagon are going to be sold over there too.

You clearly do not understand exchange rates. A USD is worth about 50 pence ie a USD 34000 CTS should sell for GBP17 000! Not GBP27 000 (USD 54000)
