Re: Only@GMI: Cadillac Zeta Car Rumored Dead

this make sense. A Caddy flagship isn't gonna help GM as much as good mid or small sized car like the Malibu. I love Caddy but they cant have priority over higher volume cars.

Asuming this crap is true.

The last great big Caddy was in 1976...they just keep getting smaller and smaller...The car industry sucks now...They are a bunch of slow follower sell outs...This is nothing but a late over re-action.

Thats it, Im never buying a new car ever again...!

There one thing, GM could vanish and......reborn, well sort of reborn like AT&T

I begin to taught even a step further: having the "Jackal" Carlos Ghosn at GM and/or GM being the target of a takeover.

I know I should be careful for what I wish for.

Re: Only@GMI: Cadillac Zeta Car Rumored Dead

If this is true it means this...

All of GM's resources are going toward making fuel efficient cars. Everything else, RIP.
So get your Camaro and CTS-V... you may not see their like again.

Does this mean they are going to just keep making the STS? It's my wife's favorite car and if it were around awhile we might consider one next time we're in the market - if I can gain confidence that the wife won't rash the wheels...

I haven't been to a respectable Cadillac dealership in the SF Bay Area in 15 years. Certainly, not one capable of selling the world's best luxury sedans.
You're talking about Ellis-Brooks, right? If so, you're correct. Even the brand-new Ford/Lincoln shop next door puts it to shame. Putnam Cadillac in Burlingame is also an embarrassment.

St. Claire Cadillac in Santa Clara is pretty good. They have a new building and everything.

Re: Only@GMI: Cadillac Zeta Car Rumored Dead

A 3-Series sized car is far more important. If GM chose to delay the flagship to get the small car on the market, they made the right decision. The name of the game now for Cadillac is entry-level luxury. Not making things that "Leo and Pinky" can't afford anyway.

BMW sells over 500K 3-series worldwide. GM need products that will sell in Europe and Asia too.

You would be real proud of that 'chop' if you had seen the DT7. . .your design actually is cleaner and more futuristic at the front end, which caused the greatest trouble for the designers, apparently. Well done!

GM gets Cadillac to become a respectable brand only to shoot them down again.

You're breaking my balls, GM. Breaking my balls.

How is Caddy supposed to compete with BMW/Mercedes if there's no 7-series/S-class competitor?

Christ.

Re: Only@GMI: Cadillac Zeta Car Rumored Dead

This is suicide GM needs a medium big rear wheel drive vehicle to compet.

A CTS does not need to be Cadillacs biggest vehicle but what this means is a front rear drive vehicle which is bogus we have 2006 DTS and luv it but rear wheel drive would be the icing on the cake.

You've seen it?! I know you probably have to lie and say you haven't or that your friend described it to you or something but wow, all of us Cadillac nuts dream about getting such an opportunity. Some have said that an unnamed executive saw it and said, "it looks like a f*%in' Bentely!" and similar rumors have suggested this too, that it's or was gorgeous. Just recently however you said its been compromised so much that it's really not all that great and that this chop job is even possibly as nice or nicer than what Cad came up with (with some sarcasm im sure). What are your thoughts, is it so bland that we should all just relax and be glad that something better will come than this car later on (hopefully) or do you think we all would have been happy enough with it to buy one anyways?

Lincoln MKS FTW!

*(I know it's far from being a threat to the S-Class/7-Series....but it thrashes the DTS!)
