It's not about following what they say, but the fact that they called it a wagon is just evidence that some people do think it's a tall wagon. BTW, personally I agree with you that it's an SUV. We cross-shopped it against the X5 and ML, not wagons. Oh, and the SRX actually has better ground cleance than most other midsize luxury SUVs.

I think the wagon perception isn't based on capabilities, but the design. Specifically, the longer length between C & D pillars and the near-vertical rear windshield.

Re: New BRX to be actually named SRX

SRX works fine for me, smaller is ok as well, I felt the SRX larger than necessary with the availability of the ESCALADE. The FWD aspect however is a distinct BUMMER. Those of you that choose to live in snow country can buy tire chains. There is nothing remotely out of the humdrum ordinary of all the FWD vehicles of the world. If you really prefer a toyota, nissan, buick enclave, or gmc acadia, then buy one. Some of us actually would like the opportunity to buy an upscale vehicle of US design and manufacture

(I think CLR stood for Cadillac Luxury Roadster originally)

It wasn't so low to the ground where you had to duck to avoid hitting your head, nor was it so high that you had to climb into it. This was a 2006, it wasn't a fully loaded model so I also noticed the interior seemed like something you would find in a cheaper vehicle.
As far as I'm concerned the current Cadillac SRX's interior looks good and it's miles better than the previous design. It's a good thing GM gave it a new interior because it's a big step up from the previous one for sure.

This interior:

compared to this interior which is the old interior:

The new interior is without a doubt light years better in design than the old cheap looking interior that GM had in the SRX a few years back.

The new interior is so much better. The old interior was so dark and drab. This was awhile ago, but I think the SRX I was in had a grey interior.

The original SRX is going to die, and this new "Lexus RX-350" like replacement will be called the SRX. Think of the Vue, but made a luxury vehicle for Cadillac. Same type of vehicle, just the high end version.

Actually he is right. I don't know about the last one but the letter assignments aren't random.
