I wish GM would stop using column shifters on anything! They look so horrible. Why does the Escalade have a column shifter when it has a full console. It would look so much better with a gated, console shifter.

Because the console is actually quite small. And they placed the two cup holders and two sets of storage there instead.

But yes it makes no sense. The GMT-800 Hummer H2, has a console shifter...yet they couldn't make it work for the 900's.

The DTS looks dated, but the STS's more sharpened styling (over the DTS's more soft styling) still fits in well with the CTS, SRX and Excalade.

I like them all except the DTS...

It shows that GM understands that Escalade is a TRUCK. Trucks have column shifters. I never got the point of console shifters, especially utility vehicles. Why do you need this with an automatic vehicle? All it does it waste space.

Any word on when the CTS Coupe will come out. With no G6 Coupe, GM has no coupes that can seat 4 adults... (back seats of Camaro and Cobalt coupe are a joke).

The XLR was canceled earlier this year and the last unit was built at Bowling Green this past May. So sad... IMO the XLR was the most beautiful car on the road.

I think the Escalade sticks out like a sore thumb, too! It's design theme doesn't fit in with the SRX or CTS to me...
