Re: Cadillac Shows CTS Coupe Concept!

I just hope it starts at $29995 and not anything higher than that for a starting point.

That is one slick ride though...

Oh and could I ask for an AWD version too? I haven't read anything about that yet....

If Cadillac prices this under $40K then i will be disappointed. I'm sorry but the truth of the matter is that Cadillac should no be in anyway a brand selling under $30K... especially on a car that is supposed to be their MID offering. A BLS should even be starting at $30-32K IMO.

Now... get me a CTC-V with the LSA at 550HP in Black with that black interior and no effin Yellow Brakes and my Bank Account will be $65K lite

Re: Cadillac Shows CTS Coupe Concept!

No way should this car be under $30K.

Production starts in May 2009? While that's far off, it's still before the Camaro that was introduced in January 2007!

Cadillac's got it going on!! Too bad Lincoln can't say the same..

The CTS coupe is the best looking car I've seen in a very long time. Loving it!!!

Looks pretty good. I think the rear fenders need a little shape to them. I love the obsidian interior their using on this and the V.

Re: Cadillac Shows CTS Coupe Concept!

Its one of the best looking coupes I have seen recently, but I would prefer the 4 door. When will the CTW Wagon be shown?

Re: Cadillac Shows CTS Coupe Concept!

Looks great from the front, but the rear 3/4 view is a disappointment. The sedan has good styling front to back, but the rear quarterpanels on this car seem to be slab-sided much like the ones from the last generation CTS. Hopefully they'll do a little more touch-up before the design is finalized.

Overall, it's definitely a winner. My personal favorite touch is the leather covered dash a la the optional interior in the Corvette. Hopefully they expand that program to much of the higher end product. I certainly would have paid a couple grand more to have that in my Acadia instead of the sea of plastic (albeit high end soft touch plastic).

Re: Cadillac Shows CTS Coupe Concept!

Many don’t seem to like the fender treatment I added to the CTS Coupe, perhaps as it looks too much like what Benz did with the S-Class

However the look would be more like Fbody’s fender treatment on this Malibu.

None-the-less, perhaps such treatment could be reserved for a Coupe-V.

There are however many more reasoned changes from the bottom standard coupe, which can be seen in the middle coupe that has the flares deleted. This CTS Coupe will not only be hard to see out the back of, but it will be claustrophobic to sit in for many, so I lowered the side window line to open them up a little more. The rear end looks so fat because the front lights, fender vent and under side-window crease all impinge upon the area around the front wheel, which gives an even greater contrast to the vast space around the rear wheel. So I deleted the vent and under window treatment to open up space around the front wheel and balance it more with the rear.

The other changes are mainly to the rear where I lengthened the rear bumper and straightened out the rear fastback/lights to make it sleeker and less dumpy looking. And squared up the rear for a cleaner look.

Re: Cadillac Shows CTS Coupe Concept!

It looks very nice but I think the rear-end will change a bit for production. It's just too big in the back. I don't have an opinion on the interior yet myself, but most people are not liking the seats, amongst other things..
