FYI... one can buy a 2010 CTS 3.6 AWD Wagon for about the same price as a FWD 3.0 SRX.
That choice is what they call a "no-brainer".
2013 CTS Wagon AWD Performance (first to get the 3.6) is $46,985. Without the AWD its $45,085.

2013 SRX FWD 3.6 (comes standard!) is $38,300. Just adding AWD knocks that up to $45,900 though.

So, in 2013 the difference is over $8k for the wagon with the 3.6.

GM wanted the car to fail.

Although, as I said on day one when pricing was released, GM killed the wagon before it went on sale. You could get an equally as good equipped SRX for more than $5k less (IIRC) than a CTS wagon. It is a shame because it is the sexiest Cadillac vehicle they have produced in years.
It might be that I do not understand the languege well, but I could never associate the word sexy with anything other than a woman.

Love my CTS wagon. It's been a great car. Sorry to see it go.

Please no one tell my better half this because she is quite chuffed with the V wagon, and she may insist that I purchase one immediately in case of V wagon shortages being widespread.

I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

Im seriously looking at one for GTO replacement in the summer. Almost impossible to find one in Opulent blue but the used prices on them are very, very, very nice.

It wouldn't surprise me if the CTS-V wagon ended up as a collector car, total production was probably under 1000.

While not surprising, this might be the worst auto news I've heard today. Not that I could afford one now anyway, but I was hoping the model would continue. I love driving my wagon, but choice is limited. Audi or Subaru as I see it. As much as I love my Suby, you won't catch me in a new one, Toyota has ruined them. I considered a Flex for a while, two minutes, maybe, but that won't happen either.

Even though we all knew this was coming, boo. This would have been perfect whereas the old CTS was unacceptable- new ATS/XTS level interior, refined A+S styling, slightly larger size...it was a dream car that never was to be.

If America didn't like wagons, I can't figure out how they would be swooping up all those Outbacks, Legacy Wagons, WRX Wagons.....

I believe Ford is still making the Flex, quiet as it's kept.

It's a shame about the CTS wagon, but perhaps it would have sold better if it didn't look like a hearse. Now, GM will go back to the same tired "Americans don't like wagons" excuse.

Exactly. Perhaps the CTS wagon would have sold better if it didn't look like a hearse. Not only was the styling out there for a luxury marque, but that D-pillar presented a big blind spot. I think GM, and other automakers for that matter, just make bigger profits off of crossovers than wagons, and are just looking for an excuse to push more crossovers.

I still don't get the "station wagon" stigma.

Pretty wagon but I would never have bought one. I don't really like wagons in general.

YAY! GM is doing it again! Less choice! under-powered Sedans and bland Sissy Trucks for everyone!
