So sitting isn't an issue.
What I meant by that is the CTS is a smaller car, which is apparent when you sit in it. It's meant to compete with the 3 and 5-Series cars, so it's not going to compete with the larger Commie.

Everyone keeps saying it's got the same powertrain as a run-of-the-mill Omega, but the CTS' DI 3.6L puts out 229KW and comes with a 6-Speed automatic as opposed to a 5-Speed.

It's like going back to 1977 and comparing the Chevrolet Impala (Omega) and Caprice (Calais) to the Cadillac Seville.

To my eyes the CTS is both beautiful and brave whereas the Holden is safe and boring to behold.

Soon to be same powertrain. From day 1 of the development of the DI V6 holden was getting it.

Smaller but = or more weight. People already think Ford Falcon and Holden Commodores are to heavy, We can't justify a smaller car that is = to them in weight?.

Holdens aim was to make a competitor to BMW and Mercedes at half the price. You don't do that with pie and chips.
The whole development was based around bench marking itself against bmw, Not just local cars.

You call this safe and boring John

Do you know how much balls it takes to stick guards like this on a base model Commodore just so the sporty models stand out

HSV GTS.

That's what's great about the world. We all have different sets of eyes. I find the basic Holden design, and the Pontiac badged version for sale here, to be handsome in the extreme. Taut, kinetic, and well proportioned. The same can be said of the CTS.

I agree...that to me is part of what makes life fun...us not all being clones of each other. I just try to express how I feel without discounting the views of others.
