In either case, I guess you couldn't expect much more from the review.
If the BLS is anything like the 9-3, it really does need an upgrade in the interior; otherwise, it seems like a competent car.
The weak dollar means that the BLS can not be imported on a profitable level.

Want a BLS wagon? Try a Saab SportCombi...It's being introduced right now and has a $2500 cash incentive ($3000 for Saab owners) on its' hood.

We don't need the BLS - It would have to be priced higher than the CTS.

I actually don't like it. I see a lot of Saab in the outside shape which is very different from all the Caddys from NA. It looks great as a Saab though.

I think a real Caddy wagon that is BLS size would do better.

I perpetually get that backwards. I don't know why.

Re: Cadillac BLS Wagon: 4Car-UK Review

So the REAL problem with the BLS is that people are confusing it with the 9-3?!?

Re: Cadillac BLS Wagon: 4Car-UK Review

Give it the mom test... show your dear mothers these pictures and see if they think they're the same.

From the outside, you have Cadillacs angles and Saabs curves... the front and rear ends are not at all alike. Even the curve of the rear end is hidden by the BLS's angular taillights, versus the full-height Saab versions. Even the signature Saab hockey-stick side window profile is masked in the BLS version... the rear side windows come to a point!

When I look at the interior pics I see totally different centre stacks. The door panels are the same, but the centre consoles aren't.

Sorry guys... you see Saab because you want to! Regular consumers won't see it. Sadly, this is one of GMs better rebadge attempts! I wish they had been half as dedicated with the Cobalt and G5 differentiation! The BLS isn't a flop because people think it's a sinmple Saab rebadge... it has other reasons for flopping!

No one can tell me that average Joe Q. Public takes a glance at these cars and sees that they're similar.

I missed the CTS then
Cascais and the area around Lisbon has seen lots of launches lately. I remeber seeing BMW people driving around Lisbon when the Z4 coupe was: must be our lovely weather

Oh dear, don't tell anyone Holden makes the turbo V6, or the 'Cadilitists' will be upset!

Well considering the powers that be are too shortsighted to bring said V6 to our shores, I as a 'Cadilitist' can forgive this indiscretion

(Besides, Holden giving us the G8 is like Indiana Jones finding the Lost Ark )

Re: Cadillac BLS Wagon: 4Car-UK Review

I think we need something like this now. I think its a nice little Caddy, the headlights are a bit odd though. I would love to have this here now to compete with the 3 series and C class, but I would rather have a real contendor to do so like the CTS is against the 5 series and E class. And btw, the name is not that inspiring. Anything with a B in its name is kinda boring. How about something like RTS or something along those lines?
