To start off the annual Detroit auto show, the North American Car and Truck of the awards is announced. This morning the committee responsible for selecting the winners announced at the show that the winners this year are the 2013 Cadillac ATS and 2013 Ram 1500.
The ATS was joined by the all-new Ford Fusion and Honda Accord on the finalists list for the award. The Ram was joined by the Ford C-Max and Mazda CX-5.

Congrats to the ATS and to the Dodge Ram, both of which deserved the award greatly!

Now let's see who'll win the ICOTY (International Car of the year) prize by Road & Travel as well as the Canadian Car of the year in the Great White North.

GM is finally starting to show what the new compay can do, with exciting designs that are fully competitive with great vehicles from elsewhere. ATS, CTS, the new Corvette, Silverado, Camaro, and many others show GM not only gets it, but is working to bring back the buyers with great product. Congrats to GM and Cadillac.

This has gotta be worth some sales. Congrats ATS!
For the sake of spreading out the publicity, it's good that the ATS-V is not being introduced at NAIAS what with this award and the C7 intro. So, does that mean Chicago for the V? ... New York? I can't wait.2005 CTS-V, LS6, Supercharged, Headers, and lots more. (garage queen)

I REALLY wanted to see the a much better Malibu with to help GM continue to build the midsize share. I am happy to see ATS get it though.
ATS deserves it for sure - great effort.

Great news for Cadillac and Ram. I have seen only one ATS and it was a beauty. BTW, the ATS was driven by a middle-aged woman.
