I knew it. I knew the 3.6L would rape the 335i.
Cadillac beat BMW. The boys at Cadillac can now take home a victory.

Just need to update that CUE package
Overall a terrible comparison, but glad to see the ATS bring home the win.

Have you given your opinion on CUE? If so, I haven't seen it or don't remember... What do you think of it?
I'm on the fence about it. I feel like some people just don't use it correctly and it's hard to tell them how to... It's kind of slow and the menus are at times confusing, but it's not the laggy horror show some people make it out to be.
A fan of the finest things in life.
I agree. They had the opportunity to do a thorough comparison test with three of the "big four" (the A-4 being the other- the G-37 and IS-350 don't count) but instead they did a limited, dumbed down test looking only at infotainment systems and handling. Pathetic, but not as bad as choosing the irrelevant Tesla Model S as their car of the year. I ought to cancel my subscription, but then what would I read on the bog?
I personally think if they were going touchscreen, might as well make it work as intuitively as an iPad as Beardy McBeard said in the video.

The thing about CUE is that it is intended to do everything it does and people just don't understand it.
At the end of the day, it's obnoxious to find buttons on a touchscreen while driving. You're not supposed to be touching it while driving. It's complicated and hard to navigate while driving? Don't use it while driving. CUE is meant to be used by the driver by voice, not touch. The processor is a three core - and two of the three do nothing but speech processing while the other one does all the touch responses, graphics, calculations....
Thats the telling part to me. I hated it till I realized I needed to stop touching it. Then I really liked it. It's not perfect, but it works pretty well.
Also? Good luck keeping it clean!
Fun fact - the CUE system has been environment certified to withstand -40C ambient and still function.

I have played with CUE a bit on the show scene. I don't have a problem with it. The key with CUE and even MFT is that you have to use them like they were designed to be used. This baffles some of the public, but it should NOT be baffling to auto journalists that have sat through all of the pressers about these systems...
No
This.
I have YET to see a review that bitched about the touch system actually test the voice commands - or even mention it. In fact, the reviews that like CUE typically bring up how well the natural voice recognition is in it.
The system is not designed to be touched and jacked with while driving. Most of the functions that drivers use while driving (volume, channel change, etc.) can be performed with REAL BUTTONS on the steering wheel.
I drive a 2009 Pontiac G8 that has a pre-modern era infotainment system and I barely EVER touch the center stack while driving. Why? Uh, because I can do everything from the wheel or my voice (Bluetooth).
American's hate adapting to systems, this is no different. They'll learn eventually. Just like they have with Apple products.

Nice to see the ATS on top.
My issue with CUE is that it's laggy and slow to respond. It isn't iOS fluid yet.

I have to agree that most reviews haven't thoroughly reviewed the infotainment system. They are reviewing it based on how they want to use the system and that's the issue.
