Re: Caddy BRX interior shot

Looks nice.
Is there a possibility that there is a center stitch on the hub of the steering wheel?? Like the CTS coupe?

The IP hood looks strange with that indent.
The rest looks to be very Provoq-ish.

Steering column is an odd color. I hope that's not a key ignition below the switchgear.

I'm still not convinced that all the blinged buttons and nobs is the way to go, but at least it is a consistent look from Cadillac -- something I've been screaming about for years.

Rear view mirror looks to be a bit bulky?

Looks like the standards set in the new CTS are spreading across the line.

Looks sexy.......

Funny, I was thinking the same thing, member12. Interestingly, through March, 2008, Acura sold 12,961 (-1.0%) MDX's and 4,949 (-19.9%) RDX's. Extrapolating for the entire year, and based on Caddy's plan to move 75,000 BRX's in one year, it's possible the BRX may outsell the MDX and RDX combined. How great would that be?!

...The grille on this prototype is a bit less dramatic, however, with a grille treatment that has more in common with Cadillac's tamer STS than it does with the more adventurous CTS...

... A 2.0L turbo-diesel variant is also in the works, however, it remains to be seen whether that model will be sold in US...
Besides these two points, there's a lot to rejoice in this www.leftlanenews.com post. This is a nice-looking vehicle (even with all the camouflage), and it sounds like it might be nicely equipped, too.

I still think it would have been reasonable to develop a next generation SRX. With the wide acclaim that it received, and with my experience with both V-6 and V-8 models in mind, just about the only thing that needed improvement was the pricetag.

A good rule of measure would be the popular CTS sedan. If it can sell in those numbers, then it's accomplished plenty.

Honestly, I'd rather an updated SRX sell 45,000 a year than a front drive crossover selling 60,000 a year. The BRX does look like a good effort, though. We'll know more when someone can drive it. The SRX and STS are the first real Cadillacs that are not into their second "Art and Science" generation. I am waiting for the CTS to be updated and take over the STS's market position while an Alpha based 3 series competitor slots below it and a new RWD DTS slots above it.

This is Cadillac....it's supposed to be a step above Acura and Lexus.

And while I am at it, when is the body on frame Escalade going to get some Range Rover style off road credentials?

Did Cadillac confirm the name BRX yet? This is going to be an amazing crossover, I just hope it doesn't have a name that starts with a 'B'.

Wow, another model of GM corporate rearview mirror….this makes what 10 or 12? Quite frankly I think the old Gentex/Donnelly mirrors were better proportioned…this one is way too bulky at the bottom…looks like it melted and sagged

That thing below the switch gear looks square so it could be electronic tilt and telescoping.

if it costs as much as the RDX i think it will be tough. that thing is super expensive and really doesn't seem to offer much for the money. it's nice, but not $40 grand nice. it's a dressed up CR-V with a turbo.

That's where Hummer should be going, not Cadillac. It doesn't matter how good GM makes the Escalade at off road, it will never ever be a Range Rover.

To make things worse, it gets horrible gas mileage. 17/22 for a 4-cylinder (even if it has a turbo) is a joke. The 260hp X3 gets better gas mileage with a V6. Will the BRX have the 3.6 or something smaller?

BRX should have the 3.6L the 9-4X will have the 2.8L Turbo.
