That ugly CTS coupe is a big hit because it dares to be different. Watering down the ATS coupe will not increase its appeal.

It's actually a very close illustration to the final product. It's not a big departure like the CTS coupe and those expecting more than the illustration are in for some disappointment.

It sounds like a lot of people will be dissapointed. The CTS coupe is stunning... what's proposed here for the ATS coupe is lazy engineering and very dull.

The ATS is stunning. Much more so than the CTS. The CTS coupe needs to be the CTS coupe. The ATS coupe has no analogue in the Cadillac stable.

Removing two doors and going "Ta-Da! Its a sports coupe!"... is lazy. Cadillac put the effort to make significant changes to the CTS when it moved from the sedan to the coupe and it paid off. Cadillac shouldn't be lazy with the ATS coupe. If I can't tell the differance when I drive behind it, its a fail.

Cadillac didn't go through any effort, someone did it off handedly and showed Ed Welburn, so they made a concept to test the waters, people liked it, and they made it. They didn't slave over their pens trying to make it different.

Who says Cadillac is GOING to be lazy??? You haven't seen it yet. And if indeed the final car does look something like the image, why is that a sign of being "lazy"??

I’m as big of a Cadillac fan as anyone but if you’re just going to rip two doors off a sedan and call it a day's work why bother? Cadillac did it right with the CTS coupe, let’s see them take it up a notch with the ATS coupe
