On another note, saw a new CTS on the road this morning (only second one I have seen outside of a carshow yet!) and it was absolutely stunning!
The new CTS does look great. I've seen many around Washington DC, in fact I've seen more CTSs than Malibus.

Is there anything different with this car? I can't see it. To compete with the SL500 you need to do a little more Cadillac!

I was hoping for something more emotiv,... a real knock-out. This is just a mild refresh, visually at least, and isn't really much of an improvement IMO.

Re: 2009 XLR In The "Nude"..

I honestly can't see much change other than the vents. Too little of an "update" on the exterior.

MEDIOCRITY: It takes a lot less time, and most people won't notice the difference until it's too late.

THAT CENTER EXHAUST LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!! Oh man!! Thats awesome!
The lower grill area is still iffy. Better, but not great. Is that a increased bulge in the hood? The side gills look good. Not the CTS style, more like the Provoq.

Well..I guess I like it? I like the way they intergrated the exhaust tips, and I like the side vents. The front end could have used more work.

Re: 2009 XLR In The "Nude"..

I like it, but I liked the original. I don't see this as being a big enough change to attract anyone who wouldn't have already purchased one. Hope the STS/DTS replacement is a homerun, because Cadillac can't survive on the CTS alone.

Re: 2009 XLR In The "Nude"..

To my eyes it is little changed, but then again I was hoping for a BIG dose of Cien styling cues.

Not the designers fault.

Re: 2009 XLR In The "Nude"..

Intriguing. The current XLR doesn't have a bulge in the hood at all (only XLR-V). I hope that means there is something new under the hood, though I doubt it.

Re: 2009 XLR In The "Nude"..

I love the XLR--I think it is a visually stunning car in person. However, this MCE almost takes away more then it adds.

I would have to see more pics to make a complete judgement.

Re: 2009 XLR In The "Nude"..

I like Cadillacs but for some reason I never liked that car. At the same time I hope they still plan on bringing the next generation XLR. You don't always get it on your first try.
