2009 Cadillac CTS-V Specs Made Official, Gets 556 HP

Source: http://jalopnik.com/395504/2009-cadi...al-gets-556-hp

We knew the new super-spec 2009 Cadillac CTS-V would be getting some impressive output numbers, and today the official figures are out — 556 HP at 6,100 RPM and 551 lb.ft. of torque at 3,800 RPM.

Continued at link.

12 seconds flat in the 1/4 mile seems a little fast for those numbers and the cars weight, but maybe with decent traction...

These numbers from the CTS-V make the V12 Cien concept all but irrevelant.

I'm starting to think that CTS-V will have a base MSRP in the $70,000 range.
That's a good thing.

My only complaint is that the front clip has too much of a Japanese/'Skyline' design influence...

Re: 2009 CTS-V Official: 556 HP, 0-60 IN 3.9 Sec.

It's pretty bad when Car and Driver runs a huge article about how they "loved" a FWD European-spec family car but does not run an article about this 560 hp beast.
I went there to remind them how much of a pansy they really are (under username: spongebob1 in 'Sports & GT' forum).

Awesome. So much so that all the other V-Series cars are now irrelevant.

Awesome car! I'm curious though, why does the front grill look like the older generation CTS's?
