I just got an '08 CTS-4 and I must say that it's the nicest GM car I've ever had. I can only imagine what 500+ HP would be like. GM did this car right.

Impressive numbers but should they offer awd for snow belters and to really duke it out with Rs6?

I am just hoping and praying that the motor in this car is also the one used in the top of the line Camaro....567hp 6 speed....315 rear tires....wow.

Yes, it will be fast but the C65 is putting down some fast consistent numbers. Also the new RS6 will be out around the same time. We will see

Dang, I wish they hadn't announced that ... now I'm trying to decide whether I would consider the STS/DTS replacement or just flat out buy this.

If you live in the snow belt you shouldn't be driving a 400+ HP car in the winter. That is just common sense.

Don't you mean C63? Which is only 463 HP.

Right now the M5 is the fastest Sedan, that I can think of, at 500 HP.

Yea, its called C63 but it has the 7-speed tranny that helps it rip 4.1 0-60 times on a consistent basis. Yea, the M5 has 500hp but with hardly any torque both the C63 and IS-F can take it out.

Is it just me, or is that too much. Assuming it has a lot of low end torque, I'd have a tough time not rear ending every car in front of me!

Everyone knows you need DOHC to compete in this segment.
You're right. It isn't a good engine. But GM doesn't have any choice because they don't have any luxury, high tech engines. That's their own fault.
At least the HP number should stand a couple years until GM gets its head out of its ass and give Cadillac the proper engines.

the only rational postulate about CTS-V features is the AWD option which is always a good thing on any car. Screaming for more and more power is childish but saying that 'it isn't a good engine' is... well I won't even comment that.
