Re: Pontiac G8 GXP to feature in Forza Motorsport III
Hey Fritz.....THIS is why Lutz wanted to bring the G8 back for Chevrolet. It builds image for the brand where it is needed. Among the teens and 20 somethings. The Aveo does not quite have the same impact when IT is included in the game...
The Mitsubishi Evolution, Subaru WRX, Nissan GT-R, all speak of the power of these video games on the image of their manufacturers. I completely agree, these video games do WAY more for driving sales and image than NASCAR, and costs NOTHING. Non-Gamers have no idea how these games drive consumer loyalty. Also, the "image" of gamers is completely incorrect. I'm 42, make 6 figures, wife and one daughter, and I play online 3-4 nights a week. I'm not alone out there either.... |

Chevrolet already has the Cobalt SS, Camaro, and about a thousand different Vettes.

I hope to god there are Aussie cars, new and old, and even the Bathurst track in Gran Turismo 5.

Re: Pontiac G8 GXP to feature in Forza Motorsport III
Clone of GT? yeah, like PacMan is a clone of Pong. GT is a fantrastic series, and I've been a long time fan, but some of you are still to put the gloves down and accept that Forza 3 looks like it's going to be better than GT5. Keep the fanboy propaganda out of here - like someone said, this ain't GameFAQs.
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm liking the pretty pictures - I hope we see the '09 CTS V and the ZR-1 that are confirmed so far modeled as beautifully as the cars above. PGR4, GT5, and Forza 3 have all made epic leaps and bounds in this area! The graphics prove that racing games have come a long way since Pole Position - as does the most important and focused feature of Forza Motorsport III - the physics. I don't exactly play video games - but I've always played the GT series since it was begun and rFactor, and now play Forza. It actually has appeal because of it's likeness to reality! Should be impressive stuff, which is what you expect when the Development Team have the game's physics are thier primary concern - even working closely with such names as AUDI race team, the McLaren F1 team's simulation & aerodynamics crew, and the Corvette racing team.. ..while also keeping in close communication with it's fanbase from the racing nuts to the physics and detail obsessed to the artists that use the powerful livery editor (as someone mentoined) to create pretty darn cool paintjobs and replica race liveries - someone with amazing skill even did a fair job of the Mona Lisa in Forza 2! It will have an official drag mode amongst other modes too, so you'll be able to line up any level of modded G8 or CTS-V against your pick of the 400 cars. It will be a sweet thing if they do it well. Last edited by Kamshaaft : 07-18-2009 at 12:46 AM. |
