Ya, but it's basically a sticker package

How is this car going to be different from the Aveo?

Disappointing, they should of gave it more power and made it handle better. It's a Pontiac after all.

Or at least a different interior... no one really rags on the Epsilon cars because they are platform sharing done right.

The G3 is just a nasty rebadge job.

Yea, something at least. GM should of taken a little longer and made changes to this car, performance, interior/exterior, etc.

Re: Pontiac G3 Comes State-Side!

GM should bring over the current Corsa, slap a Saturn badge on it, perhaps rename the Corsa to Cosmos or something & they'd have their 2nd brand offering of a subcompact & market the hell out of it. If GM's marketing branch can figure out how to do it effectively!
The G3 was & is a stupid idea. I don't care what anyone says who is for the G3 existing.
It shouldn't. Pontiac should not have something this small. Pontiac has the G5 & the Vibe for is entry level vehicles.

Re: Pontiac G3 Comes State-Side!

I saw this. I have work tommrow so I don't have time to do a decent chop but ...... I don't like the g3 at all but if we needed a small eco car why not.

It would sell if it was under 15k If it went for 13 or less I would buy one tommrow. No it's not perfomance but it is better then a rebadge. (If you don't count the concept.)

Considering that the Beat will at least originally be a Chevy, A Pontiac version, IMO would not be a good idea. Just like the coming G3 isn't a good idea.

As to your quick additions to this one, the side vent isn't needed & looks quite ridiculous. Should you do a full chop, I highly suggest ditching the side vent.

Ya, but the side vent is ridiculous and not needed on the Aveo/G3 too and yet, there it is. I think he was being funny with his quickie chop, cause that's what GM does with most of Pontiac division's cars. Right now the only car I can think of that the side vent looks good on is the CTS becuase of the way it's integrated into the design. It should be ditched from every other car out there that has it right now.

Re: Pontiac G3 Comes State-Side!

The more and more I look at it, the more I like it. It really doesn't look all that bad, and the interior looks way better than a Cavalier's, or my SC2's... when it had an interior. I just with it wasn't made by Korean hands.

Re: Pontiac G3 Comes State-Side!

I like the g8 vent, The chop was just suppose to be quick I didn't color match it or even change the red on the vent. If gm decided to do this I hope they would do more then just change the grill . I was thinking something like a fierro but entry level maybe t-tops . Something to combat smart and scions. If the g3 is entry I think it should have at least been 2 door since chevy has 4.

Re: Pontiac G3 Comes State-Side!

I hate when you can see the grill section outlined in the nose as to suggest its just a "Place nose cone and grill here" hole.
Ugh...Pontiac's death is gunna be a slow and bloody. Lots of die hards will move to Nissan and Honda IMO.

Re: Pontiac G3 Comes State-Side!

I think the die-hards will move to Dodge & perhaps Ford. Some may go to the import brands. Some will just invest in a restored older car from the muscle car heyday.

Re: Pontiac G3 Comes State-Side!

I'll be going to Ford if Pontiac or Buick doesn't have anything that interests me once I'm done paying of the GTO.
