With the impending CAFE regulations I can see some argument arising from the unavailability of AFM on manual models. Of course that doesn't effect the V6 model and one may even argue that when the G8s volume is taken into consideration, CAFE barely rates a mention.
I'm wondering if, when stricter CAFE comes into effect, will vehicles like the G8 become more expensive (to dissuade purchase) or alternatively, supply will dwindle making it harder to get? Either way, considering the Feds aren't raising fuel tax, resale of the G8 should improve because anyone looking to hang the tail out will be even more starved of satisfaction than ever before. Let's face it. Driving a "Gas Guzzler" isn't going to become that more expensive. Lower demand (driven by more efficient vehicles) is probably going to see oil become less expensive to stimulate consumption. Then again, drop in tax revenue may see a rise in taxes anyway.....okay, I'm ![]()
