Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup

I'm not too sure about the Firebird or the G6, but I love the GTO and G8. While I love the Commodore SS-V the way they come, that front end treatment doesnt ruin it at all. I would drool over that GTO if it came out as well, might have to have both cars in my driveway! :-)

that GTO is really aggressive looking! i like!! i don't believe in beautiful sports cars, with the exception of jaguars. sports cars and even more so, MUSCLE cars should be a manufacturers expression of competitive passion and technology, not to mention a healthy dose of "I'll kick your but!" stamped all over it! the GTO rendering does that to a tee!

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup

These are great the GTO is the hands down winner and I'm a die hard Firebird fan but that GTO just made my jaw drop. It can really go toe to toe with the G35 and others. Keep up the work.

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup

Great job guys. Not too fond of the firebird or goat, but the G8 looks right on. Remaking a firebird is gonna be tough. I have seen alot of attempts, but all seem to fall short. I think we are all expecting a totally different look with it, but all seem to mildly rebadge the camaro. The chevy is a tough act to follow and I think we all might as well accept the fact that the bird will fly no more.

They're all pretty nice. Mostly too risky and not bland enough for lutz to approve. But that's not to say they would probably sell better than anything he would put out.

Whoever designed the GTO is a design pro. Its stylistcally amazing.

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup

Nice job. I like how each car is in its correct slot in the lineup. GTO above the Firebird, while staying true to the 'take parts from a bunch of cars and make it fast' formula that the orginal followed (as well as 04-06)

G6 and G8 have to save pontac, otherwise saturns& chevy will run away with the car catagory.

Also, how bout a BA entry coupe. Fiero or Sunfire, or G5. I want an orginal, fast, cheap, pontaic. Is it too much to ask?

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup

Well done overall. The Firebird seems unnecessary to me. The GTO, however, is sweet. And the G8 takes the prize with its appropriate styling mods from the Commodore (and I'm a big fan of the VE range). Let's get the G8 and GTO on the road ASAP.

Let's not underestimate the Solstice, though. Sure, it's a niche segment, but its halo effect hasn't been felt at Pontiac in 2 decades at least. It's doing for Pontiac what the TT did for Audi when it came out.

Re: GMI Revitalization in Action; The Dream Pontiac Lineup

Love whats there, especially the G8. The G6 looks awkward but definitely a step in the right direction. I agree with others that the Firebird isn't completely necessary, althought it looks flippin sweet!

Just curious, but are you implying the Solstice (vert/coupe) doesn't fit into the future model lineup? I think it compliments what you guys have there very well. I would also love to see a compact "G4" of sorts built on Kappa, but that is just a personal dream.

For some reason, when uploaded to the website pictures lose their optical clarity.

ok I really like that goat better than the current/late one. The front tends to remind me of my first one. It was a 68 and much nicer to look at from a GTO standpoint!!
