GM Will Kick Off Pontiac G8 Sales With A Limited Edition Model

DETROIT — As Pontiac's new G8 performance flagship readies for production, a limited edition of 888 vehicles has been announced to celebrate the launch. The early sedans will feature a unique Vehicle Identification Number sequence (001 through 888), along with a special instrument panel plaque that designates the car as one of the first 888 G8s to reach American shores.

How about a special edition of 888 with manual transmissions?

I'd love to see the "market adjustment" on those!!

I was pissed that they had 0 of these at the recent car show I attended. Rediculous considering how soon they are to be released.

Not only did we not have a G8 at last week's show, even the Astra was MIA!

You could've had one of the Astra's at our show- but the "Kiss My Astra" event wouldn't have been as "colorful"!

The G8 is a nice car. should be a sports sedan worth considering for those buying one in the low 30's..

RWD 390 lb/ft of torque running on regular gasoline..

Sounds like a great daily driver.

I'd bet money they're still sorting the final interior. The website has VERY limited info on the interior.

This late in the game, that stuff would all have to be final by now. I'd be willing to bet they've started production and are preparing the first models for shipment.

It's a long way from Australia to the US by ship.
