Re: China likely to reject Hummer acquisition

I think the Hummer H3 line-up should be reintroduced as the GMC H3 line and just Let the Hummer Brand die, along with the butt ass ugly H2.

Re: China likely to reject Hummer acquisition

good! maybe gm will be forced to keep it.

there is a market for these vehicles, and there is opportunity for growth. the h3 is one of the best off roaders around (better then the 4 door wrangler according to four wheeler), the h3t is no slouch either, and the h2 is pretty good for what it is as well. and i dont see anyone yelling at toyota to get rid of the land cruiser!

they can keep the "luxury offroader" market by merging the hummer dealers with caddilac- make them land rover fighters if they want to, something like that.

or you can go the jeep route. make them more affordable, but keep the off road ability.

its a very loud minority that despises the hummers, nothing more. hummer is actually one of the few brands left that has an untarnished image (its only tarnished by those who dont understand hummer, and who would never consider that type of vehicle in the first place)

and why should they be killed? because they dont apply to your tastes? again, "stupid" and "loser"? why?

ignorance is bliss.

Re: China likely to reject Hummer acquisition

Well said. I've had 5 H2's starting with the 2003 and now a 2008. I'm currently looking to get an H3 for the wife.

Especially with the 2008 H2, with the new engine and trans, I get an honest to goodness 14.2 MPG average with it. Heck, I have a hard time getting that with my 2008 TrailBlazer SS!

But none the less, the un-educated 'haters' that 'hate' just because it's the thing to do at the moment and don't even know the real facts will diss the H2 and say I should be driving the SS instead.

They are shocked to learn the H2 actually gets better mileage and it's a different purpose vehicle on top of it.
