no. The G8 gets new colors and XM for 2009. THere is no nav option and I wouldnt expect that to change any time soon. It's obvious GM isnt that interested in offering nav on non luxury cars.

Apples and oranges from a size perspective.

The obvious comparison: 360 HP 550i vs 361 HP G8 GT.

The Pontiac has a few advantages:
1/2 the price.
Better fuel economy.
No i(can't)Drive.
etc.

Re: 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP Power Bumped to 415hp/415ftlbs

I wonder what kind of fuel economy rating this engine will get in the G8, and if it will skirt the gas guzzler tax. According to a dealer I spoke with, back when the original CTS-V got slapped with said tax part way through its life cycle, this really hurt sales.

No. But Bluetooth will be standard I belive.

What about memory seats? I can't buy another vehicle without memory seats.

As someone with AARP membership, and therefore old enough to remember how to use a gas station road map to find a particular location, it is totally outrageous to me that someone would exclude a car based on whether or not it has a NAV system. Specially a car a sweet as the G8 GXP. And they say Americans have lost their edge....

Those of you of the "just gotta have the nav" mindset really should give the OnStar Directions and Connections plan a try before plunking down some $2K on a nav. It renders nav totally obsolete, unless you are just a techie or gotta have what the neighbors/co-workers have. Nav kinda reminds me of the "talking" Chryslers and Nissans of the mid 80's....a fad.

Let's see...What models now offer an in-dash nav option? Kia Optima, Honda Fit, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Mazda3. None of these are "luxury" models. The old paternalistic GM knows best though, right?

I have to say in RI these cars are not selling. I've been lucky to see a half dozen on the road. One local dealer has 15 on the lot. I'm wondering what kind of deals it'll take to move these 2008's off his lot.

For those who want to wine and cry about nav systems... for Pete's sake... Its not 1985 any more... If you want it, and it doesn't come with it... YOU CAN ADD IT!!! Its easy. The Double Din size CD comes out, and the like sized Nav unit goes in. Its even less money than the 3200 they're gonna charge you from the factory, and you can get a superior unit.

Come on people.........complaining about Nav on a $35,000, 415 HP performance sedan??
With the money you saved over the competition you could hire a guide.
The specs on this car just keep getting better and better.

there will be a Z28 model. Its just won't come out at launch and probably won't come out for the first few years. Keep in mind 454 did talk with someone involved in development and his source indicated that the Z28 project is still on

I always want to ask people who complain about lack of nav if they've never heard of best buy. It's honestly like complaining about lack of ipod support.

I haven't seen G8's doing particularly bad in NC, the dealers around here say they've been selling about 1 a week, which is not bad as they only keep 3 or 4 on the lot at a time (and one of the ones which was there for a long time was orange).

GM said their goal was to match the 25,000 unit sales per year of the grand prix. 9600 on 6 months of sales, one of which availibility was very limited, is not that bad.
