Re: Volt Revealed!

These are the damn pictures that should've been leaked last week. Everyone has a sour taste in their mouths from those pics. This time around the car actually looks good. Love the interior and the dark grey color gives it a mean appearance. I hope this car sells well for GM, it looks pretty good and gets great mileage.

Jeez This production Volt looks so MUCH better than its competitors and you go cry a river?? What kind of person are you? The concept Volt was not aerodynamically efficient and could not go into production with that look.

Your post must be one of the worse piece of crap ever written on this forum! Im going as far as calling you out as a treacherous rascal and turd burglar troll.

Go cry some more.

Re: Volt Revealed!

It looks 1000x better than the Prius.

Great work. I realize that there is no way that it could have the sharp curves of the concept, but I really didn't think the concept looked that good anyways.

Re: Volt Revealed!

i can't believe the negative feedback over the looks. if you want camaro design and overhang, buy a camaro. GM has no control over the laws of aerodynamics. you're gonna lose your GM loyalty b/c they made a design more aerodynamic? waaaaa waaaaaa.

where is the shifter....is it that white part that looks moveable on the center console?

Looks great! Let's hope there are no setbacks with the batteries to delay the launch. GMI, I really think this should be at the header now...

Re: Volt Revealed!

A great car that will sell very good. Other e-rev models will come out with more traditional interiors like the caddy SRX e-rev that was at last years car shows. This car can keep a whole factory running by itself, the first years 60,000 will sell out fast. GM must ramp up fast, and the dash is stunning. I would drive the whole year and only buy gas 4 to 6 times. At 6 fill ups of $40 Dollars I would only spend $240 dollars on gas a year. GM has struck back,
and its a good day!

Yeah... seems like it, and it also acts as a separator for the Volvo-esque floating console.

Ever heard of a CONCEPT before? How many make it to market unchanged? This may surprise you, but a car has to actually be engineered before they can put it on the market.

"Don't like the interior...dash/steering wheel looks like it is out of the Honda parts bin."

Uhhh Yeah. A Honda parts bin from 2024 perhaps.

Re: Volt Revealed!

I REALLY like this car...inside AND out...so why did Lutz today make a half hearted apology for the way it looks?
BOB LUTZ: "The challenge to the designers wasn’t to design the most beautiful car imaginable and accept the compromises you have to make to do so. It was, make no compromise to fuel efficiency and electric range, and then do the most beautiful design possible, around those aerodynamic dictates.

When you look at the exterior of the Volt, you might notice certain aerodynamic shapes and design elements of some other cars you might see on the road. But beneath the skin, it shares very little with any other car that’s ever existed. So I submit that while it’s typically design that makes an emotional connection with buyers, in this case, the Volt is going to be bought for emotional reasons, but it will be for the emotion tied to the technology contained therein."
