Re: Volt Revealed!

Looks nice, even sporty!

How about they use this design for the Cruze and make the Volt- which is going to lose money no matter what- look like the Cruze.

Fabulous sarcasm! We all know this is a great looking car, any of us would be proud to own! Sure looks lots better than the Prius or the Honda knockoff. way to go GM!!!!!

See ya then...

Personally i think it looks more main stream than the 'Other" green cars (a good thing). I like it, and can't wait to try one out.

Re: Volt Revealed!

Congrats GM on making a true game-changer, and on your 100th anniversary.

I hope to be with you the rest of my life. It's cars like this that make me proud to be a GM fan, and proud to be American.

and...Please, Congress, approve the rebate for the Volt and give GM the loans it needs to survive!

Re: Volt Revealed!

I don;t see what all the talking heads are going on about. Yeah its not the most attractive car around...what small cars are...but its pretty cool looking. And the interior is smoking. I like it a lot. Now if only they can do something about the price...

Re: Volt Revealed!

That interior is totally out of the box thinking. That is something Toyota could NEVER do. (well they can now that they have something to copy)

GM is leading the auto industry again? The world is about to end for sure!

Re: Volt Revealed!

I really like it from the futuristic interior to the aero exterior. This car could only come in one color for me and that's black. Black would hide the plastic inserts on the bottom and around the windows. I also hope the center dash comes in black. This is the future of cars. I imagine a day when you could customize every gauge in the car to the users liking. It would be almost like a web page with different back grounds and different gauges to pick from (themes). You will be able to move the modules (radio, AC/heat, and so on) anywhere you want on the dash or center console....

an apple collaboration would me miles ahead of any microsoft junk! it only makes sense to integrate an ipod. they could have volt commercials where the ford infotainment unit is having problems, and the volt's is quietly competent.

it looks nice...futuristic, in a jelly bean sort of way. it has a small diffuser in the back. i'm sure they could put covers on the rear wheels and drop the Cd another 10%. i love the stationary 'hub caps' they're using on f1 cars now.

a guy with a half dozen gas guzzlers won't trade them in for a volt because it looks funny...

Re: Volt Revealed!

I am truly stunned. What an amazingly good looking automobile. Now, if they can carry through on the merits of the drivetrain and price it at or near the Prius and Insight then it will be a huge success.

+1 that completely disagrees. I actually like the car a lot and look forward to its release. People, like this user above, really need to lighten up a bit and take a deep breath.

Still don't like it 40K worth, but that's a nice ride. Love those wheels!
I beg to differ. With all of the advanced technology that is in thi car, plus the styling, which I think was able to keep the main points of the concept, but put it into an aerodynamic package, this car is well worth a 40K price tag. Yes for saving gas money, and yada like that it wont pay off, but just the technology in the car makes it all worth while. Look at all of the people that over pay on computers and other electronics, maybe this will be the start of bringing that into the automotive world. Now that would be considered a GAME CHANGER. Man I am having strong thoughts to get one of these, we will ahve to see what my financial situation is in in a few years, but if I could I might get one. But me and my damn cheapness/practicality side might still over rules and stop me on that one.

Home run. Still not wild about the side glass/black paint thing, but other than that, BRAVO GM! Happy 100.
