Re: Volt Revealed!

I am blown away by this car, especially the futuristic interior. It really fits the car. The LCD gauge cluster is an impressive touch. What I want to see now is the rear seats.

Re: Volt Revealed!

I like it. I'll have no problem parting with the scratch to put one in my driveway - after the me firsts have finished overpaying for the first allocations.

As for the question on the 118 mi on battery. I think what they are showing is a "trip" meter of some sorts. I can easily understand having one distance meter for gasoline use, and another for EV use. This would show the owner how far they've driven in total on that trip.

On the red lights in the front. I'll chalk that one up to the photographs. I've had camera's screw up colors before.

Home run GM. Home run. Now, shock the hell out of everyone, and announce it ready to purchase a year early.

That is why I think E-flex is an excellent platform for a performance variant... just wishful thinking.

I was thinking the same thing but I didn't want to say it. The concept looked a lot better (I can't stand the Civic) Anyways, Happy Birthday GM!

Well here we go......I think it looks great. This cars purpose is efficiency and the changes made from the concept are all about making it more efficient. I think it easily leaps the Prius and Insights design. Now get it on the road!!

Re: Volt Revealed!

WOW! And again I say WOW! Is this really from GM? It looks sharp and the instrumentation is actually high tech. I can't wait to see it in dealerships. There may be hope for GM yet.

Which why they leaked it on purpose with some dudes in the way, to pretty much give it away, but not totally. By doing so they could gague reaction of many people without officially releasing it in a colour that turned out to be fugly to most. They changed the colour and voila, the real deal. Also did anyone notice the quarter windows are back? They weren't there in the leaked pictures on the exterior, but there was some interior mock up (that was not this one) that had them. Odd.

I noticed that too, and was wondering why they put those there. I don't see a reason for the front windows all the way down.

They built a "punishment car", exactly what they said they did not want to do. This is got to be GM's biggest let down. Worse then building the Aztek, worse then killing the Impalla & Fiero & Camaro. Just ridiculous. This is the car they were pinning all their hopes on. They used the angular looking VOLT in so many marketing pieces yet they knew long ago it would never look like that. GM you have finally lost my loyalty.
Wow, if that doesn't scream 'Drama Queen' I'm not sure what does...
