That thing is amazing![]()
this video is currently unavailable?!
Very nice![]()
I have not been enthusiastic about a GM car in a long time. The new Stingray is just freakin' amazing!
2010 Ford Mustang Pony Premium
I wil have one of these in Torch Red!
All I can say is wow. One day......
I am one of those people GM made this Corvette for: it has sophisticated styling, modern technology, is lighter, handles and feels lighter and tighter, and has an interior worthy of a world class car.
The old hats who lament these drastic changes from the now completely irrelevant and outdated 6th generation can keep their antiquated Corvettes.
Seriously, the new Stingray makes every 6th gen look 20 years old.

Wonder if Jay was surprised by the 7th gear on the test drive?
I'm loving the positive feedback on the YouTube video comments. I believe that Chevrolet will be having a record year for sales once this baby makes the market.
I love the new Vette~
Driving the Heartbeat of America and it sounds good and healthy, with many more years to come.
No disrespect to them but I have to agree 100%! Case in point, a little guy named Peter M. De Lorenzo. God bless his heart but that guy is so totally out of it when it comes to the new Corvette. He even has a Autoline Detroit bit about how he would "Fix Corvette" by making it a brand under GM and fixing the new Corvette by cleaning up its "overwrought" styling and putting in round taillights.I have never seen or heard such automotive vomit from one guy in quite a while like that Autoline Detroit segment. For all I know he must absolutely hate Ed Welburn right now, I mean the new Corvette is totally verboten to him and people like him. As a matter of fact I believe he and others will go as far as to boycott the new C7 series by the way they have been ripping apart the new design.
GM understood from their very good C6 Z06 and ZR-1 Corvettes that they must change and step up big time which is what they did with the C7 Corvette! They had to step away and raise the bar to full international standards! Why cant people like Peter De Lorenzo understand this? The new design is exactly the shot in the arm Corvette needed and I dare say it has succeeded by the buzz it has created. Is the new styling controversial? Damn right it is!And its just the beginning. More to come soon!
So good to see a guy like Jay Leno really impressed with the C7 Stingray. He is so different compared to Peter De Lorenzo even though both men share so much things in common. But Jay has superior tastes in automotive design and it shows in the video above.![]()

I find it sad that some people wish for GM to fail and can't comprehend any good news. A plausible explanation for this kind of behavior is that you have a miserable life so you wish the same to others. Cory Pham, Autoblog Poster
GM must return its divisions to being interdependent entities within the corporation. Decentralize and free the different divisions talents to foster brand differentiation and customer loyalty.

I watched this earlier today, car looks great. I think this is first time we've seen the screen move to reveal the hidden storage compartment too.
Also agree on the new C7 departure from some traditions. I don't care that the 'Vette doesn't have round taillights anymore. That doesn't make what a Corvette looks like or what a Corvette is.
When you're a slave to tradition, it hampers forward progress. Not to say forget about tradition, but don't become a slave to it.
They said the C7 had the same wheelbase as C6....I thought I read that C7 was longer.
Also, all the cars we have seen are Z51 models....what will the base model look like?
Leno is pompous...not a fan.
VELITE PLEASE
