    Tomorrow = New Truck Day

GM set to reveal the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and Sierra tomorrow morning.

General Motors' current crop of full-size trucks have been on the market since 2007. They've survived volatile oil prices, a bankruptcy and increasingly stiff competition from their cross-town rivals. Well, after much speculation, tomorrow is the day that the wraps come off the 2014 trucks, and GMI will be right there to witness it.

In fact, as I write this I am sitting on a plane en route to Detroit for tomorrow's reveal. GMI has already had a little bit of time with the new trucks (sorry, we can't talk yet), which means we'll be among the first publications to have all of the goodies and first hand accounts of GM's latest tomorrow when GM lifts the gag order at 9:30 AM eastern time.

In the meantime, we invite you to head over to our massive user-created super-thread to catch up on the latest speculation and rumors surrounding the 2014 Silverado and Sierra. And be sure to check back tomorrow morning to learn just about everything there is to know about GM's all-new trucks.

    Timeline of Events:

    • Tomorrow @ 9:30 AM ET - GM takes the wraps off the trucks at a press-only event in Detroit
    • Tomorrow morning's reveal will be live streamed by GM here
    • Tomorrow @ 12:00 PM ET - GMI to have full suit of live shots from the event

I see pickuptrucks.com is posting a more revealing picture of the new Silverado. Breaking embargo or are they trying to get around it with only a piece of a pic? Pic shows almost all side and straight on shot on their homepage(mirror, grille, headlights).

I cant wait to see the Sierra...I really hope the rumors are true that its going to look great.

Are we going to get any engine specs tomorrow Nsap? I would really like to know what kind of power to expect out of the 5.3

If the lettering is in the grille, that would be one of the first things to get de-badged (if possible) for a lot of people I'm thinking.

The LTZ won't have a chrome grill on the upcoming Silverado. If the Z in the photo is a LTZ.

Can't wait!! I still firmly believe that the spy pic had a cover over the dash. We will see tomorrow!

Re: Tomorrow = New Truck Day

I am actually feeling better after reading the thread on the interior, especially the part of "people didn't want to see blank spaces where options they didn't choose should be". Lots of poor reaction to that interior leak we saw which looked like a counter to that quote. Tomorrow all the pieces come together.

Re: Tomorrow = New Truck Day

I'm prepared for a better interior but a step down duller exterior. Hopefully that is not the case. I sure hope the V6 base engine is more power and mileage than at least Ford's 305 Hp F-150 and 23 highway MPG with RWD and that the 5.3 actually puts out some torque.

While it keeps replacement costs down (possibly), having that many horizontal lines crossing three separate parts that have to line up exactly is going to be fun to assemble. The slightest mis-alignment is going to result in a low quality look up front.

I think GM has done a remarkably good job of keeping the new trucks under wraps.
