SPIED!: Camaro convertibles going down the highway yesterday...

This morning westbound on 401 as I was going to work... Saw this going down the express lanes. I was in the collectors but managed to catch up to it.

Wonder where they're going? They all have the Onstar stickers on the window so I doubt they're test vehicles...

Oh Mississauga. Considering where they are and the direction they are going, they are going to the Proving Grounds from Oshawa.

I wonder who did the conversion or if they did them in-house?

Guy who bid a couple hundred thousand dollars on the B-J auction yesterday for the serial number 2 ragtop to be built later would probably not want to see that picture.

Boooh. I expected a shot with the top down, driven by a hot young lady. I'm very dissapointed.

Seriously, I want one, in red, black leather/red alcantara interior, with a V8 and ... the hot young lady.

The one at Barrett Jackson yesterday was their prototype and officials indicated regular production hasn't started yet. Thats interesting because the winner will be able to tailor make the camaro any way he wants and it will be the second one off the production line. VERY INTERESTING!

Can they "reserve" the number 2 VIN for that vehicle while building the higher VIN vehicles?

Love the kid staring out the bus window at those Camaros, probably daydreaming about having his license and driving one of those bad boys. I remember those days. I still get a little kick out of seeing a transporter full of sports cars.
