    The Silverado 200K Club

DETROIT - The Chevrolet Division of General Motors today announced a nationwide search for the most dependable, longest lasting Chevrolet Silverado trucks on the road. Chevrolet is looking for personally owned Silverado trucks with 200,000 miles or more to join the Silverado 200,000 Mile Club. This outreach celebrates Silverado’s legacy of quality and endurance and hopes to capture stories that show the integral role these trucks have played in American life – from our farms to our factories, from our countryside to our cities.

Ed Peper, Chevrolet General Manager said, “Chevy Silverado owners have a strong bond with their trucks and are among the most loyal in the industry. We know they have stories to share about how a Silverado helped save the family farm, served as an impromptu delivery room or in some other way acted as a trusted partner. We know our customers love their trucks and we want to hear their stories.”

Does your Silverado have 200,000 miles or more? If so, join the club! www.chevy.com/200k

I am willing to bet that anyone who signs up for this "honor" will be high on the list for GMT800 pickup truck deals.

We always wonder how GM selects from its' customers for these special non-public deals. This "cull" might be one way.

Let's face it, people with 200K+ on the odometer are pretty good candidates for a new vehicle - at the right price...

So when does the Buick Park Avenue 200,000 mile club start?

Dream Vehicles: 88-91 Reatta, an early 80s Buick Wagon, or any 79+ Riviera
    Current Vehicles:
2005 Buick Park Avenue Ultra Special NYC two tone Edition (1 of 300 made) 70K miles
1990 Buick Electra Park Avenue White w/ soft top and red leather interior. 76K miles
    Dead/Retired Vehicles:
1998 Buick Riviera ~105,000, and totaled after being rear ended
1990 Buick Park Avenue ~300,000 loyal miles before death from oil starvation. May you R.I.P. Christine.

It's good they are doing this, it should turn out better than the Tahoe make-your-own commercial. I know plenty of people who would love to promote this.

    Re: The Silverado 200K Club

They should get the guy from the K&N commercial with a 1995 Silverado with over 1,000,000 miles.

SilveradoSS- doesn't your Silverado have over 200K?

I don't drive enough to have that many miles...my truck would be 15 years old by that time.
